Frances Bean Cobain and her mother Courtney Love have had a tumultuous relationship over the years, but a recent project has helped them grow closer. It all began in 2008 when Love approached director Brett Morgen about doing the first authorized documentary about her late husband, Nirvana frontman Kurt Cobain. "I had done a movie called The Kid Stays in the Picture about Robert Evans," Morgen told People at the Sundance Film Festival on Saturday. "Courtney had watched that movie daily for about three months and really loved my approach to non-fiction and thought I would be best suited to tell Kurt's story.
