Adam Sandler and his Happy Madison production banner will team with STX Entertainment for an animated feature. Sandler will write, produce and star in the untitled project, which is a part of STX's push for family friendly content to add to the 12 to 15 films the studio hopes to release each year. The company is currently developing another animated film based on the Uglydoll toy. STX execs have a long history in animation.
