It’s been about 12 years since De La Soul released their last album, “The Grind Date,” and yesterday marked the released of their latest LP, “and the Anonymous Nobody…” The journey to creating the album was a hard one and began when the hip-hop group launched a Kickstarter to fund the project.
After raising an overwhelming $600,000, more than six times the amount they requested, De La Soul celebrated the album’s release by premiering a 30-minute documentary, “We’re Still Here (now)… a documentary about nobody.”
