- Robert Horton was born on 27 November 1870 in Lewisham, London, England, UK. He was an actor, known for Murder at the Baskervilles (1937), Birds of a Feather (I) (1931) and Inside the Room (1935). He died on 19 September 1944 in Redhill, Surrey, England, UK.
- Was a Royal Air Force (RAF) Wing Commander in World War II. He formed the elite 617 Squadron (The Dam Busters) and led the squadron on its most famous mission, the attack on the Moehne and Eder Dams.
Won the Victoria Cross for his performance on the dams raid. He also earned two Distinguished Service Orders and two Distinguished Flying Crosses.
