Composer, songwriter ("You Gotta Be a Football Hero"), author and agent,educated in Chicago public schools. During World War I, he served in the 133rd Machine Gun Battalion, 36th Division. He appeared in vaudeville and cafes, then became a theatrical agent. Joining ASCAP in 1925, he collaborated musically with Al Sherman, Al Lewis, Gerald Marks and Art Berman. His other popular-song compositions include "Falling", "You're the One, You Beautiful Son-of-a-Gun", "The Night Shall Be Filled With Music", "With You on My Mind I Can't Write the Words", "By the Sign of the Rose", "Chinnin' and Chattin' With May", "The Pump Song", "Remember", "Indoor Outdoor Girl", "By a Camp Fire", "If It Wasn't for You", "How Can I Be Anything but Blue" and "I'll Get Along Somehow".- Krsto Odak was born on 20 March 1888 in Siveric, Croatia, Yugoslavia. He was a composer, known for Ribari Jadrana (1948). He died on 4 October 1965 in Zagreb, Croatia, Yugoslavia.
- Henryk Modrzewski was born on 12 May 1897 in Kanczuga, Galicia, Austria-Hungary [now Kanczuga, Podkarpackie, Poland]. He was an actor, known for Adventure in Marienstadt (1954), Sprawa pilota Maresza (1956) and Skarb (1949). He died on 4 October 1965 in Lódz, Lódzkie, Poland.
