Ingrid Samuelsson was a Swedish pioneer in National radio and television. As an employee at the Swedish Radio Service from the early 1930s and during the 1950s as a producer at the Swedish Broadcasting System, she was one of the few women who produced programs for radio and television during its first years. When Swedish Television began its initial program operations in 1954, Ingrid Samuelsson was recruited to study programs regarding consumer information, childcare, general health programs and more. She was one of the directors for home and family programs. "Hemma", with Ria Wägner as host, became a model for family magazine programs far into our days.- Raymond Albert Kaalund was born on December 24 1913 in St Croix, Dutch West Indies. At the age of 7 his family came to New York City and at the age of 12 he began learning the art of tap dancing. His tap career began around 1928 at the age of 15 and lasted through the mid 70s on a tour that traveled throughout the United States and Europe called 1000 years of jazz. The tour, which lasted about 8 years, featured the original hoofers, tap greats Buster Brown, Chuck Green, Lon Chaney, Ralph Brown, Jimmy Slide Bernard Manner and Raymond Kaalund along with some great New Orleans jazz musicians.
Raymond appeared in several all black films i.e. Temptation (1935), Sepia Cinderella (1947), in a Louis Jordan musical short called Caldonia (1945) in the 40s. He appeared in the film Tap Happenings in 1969. He performed on the Ed Sullivan and David Frost shows and on 'To tell the truth'. He also played the Apollo theater several times as part of different groups: The Barons, the Three Dukes, which included Buster Brown and Bubba Gains.
He worked with Count Basie, The Duke, the Hines Bros., the Nicolas Bros and traveled with Bob Hope to Newfoundland to perform on a USO show. - Teodor Parnicki was born on 5 March 1908 in Berlin, Germany. Teodor was a writer, known for Tylko Beatrycze (1976). Teodor died on 5 December 1988 in Warsaw, Mazowieckie, Poland.

George Tregre was born on 12 January 1916 in New Orleans, Louisiana, USA. He was a producer and actor, known for Slick Silver (1974) and Stepsisters (1974). He died on 5 December 1988 in Fort Worth, Texas, USA.- American novelist Edwin Granberry was born in Meridian, MS, in 1897. In 1907 the family moved to Florida, and he later went to college there. His college education was interrupted by a stint in the US Marine Corps as a private in France during World War I. After his discharge he went back to college, and upon graduating he took a job as a teacher (although he had spent much of his life training to be a classical pianist). He spent two years as an Assistant Professor of Romance Languages at Miami University in Oxford, OH, then attended the drama course at Harvard University in Boston, MA. He held teaching positions at a variety of schools and colleges on the East Coast for the next several years. It was during this period that he wrote and had published several short stories and novels, and translated the works of several French novelists into English. He was Professor of Creative Writing at Rollins College in Winter Park, FL, from 1950 to 1972.
He died in Winter Park, FL, in 1988. - Garaybeyli was born in the city of Shamakhi, but like many natives of that city at the time, he found himself in Baku after the devastating earthquake of 1902. Garaybeyli became an orphan at a young age and was brought up by a foster family. While still in school, he started attending drama clubs for actors-to-be established by Huseyn Arablinski. He made his first stage appearance in 1917.
Beginning in 1921, with the help of Uzeyir Hajibeyov, he started attending courses in professional acting. It was also when Garaybeyli got married. In the following years, he acted in over 200 different roles, including both stage and film appearances. Garaybeyli was also known as a voice actor in a number of movies. From 1933 until the end of his life, he worked in the Azerbaijan State Drama Theatre. In 1940 he was awarded the title of People's Artist of Azerbaijan.
He died in Baku, four months before his 92nd birthday.
