Mr. Pinheiro, an attorney by profession, became a radio broadcaster upon the opening of a radio station in in birthplace, Jau. He then moved to Sao Paulo to work at Radios Sao Paulo & Panamericana. Eventually, he worked in Rio de Janeiro at the radio stations Nacional, Mundial , Mayrink Veiga & Tupi. During the sixties he was a top assistant of Brazilian President Joao Goulart (1961-1964) Em 1967, in the U.S. he joined the Brazilian staff of the Voice of America.
