- 1941-1945. We forgot about what it was like to be a war. The Great Patriotic War was not a normal war or a battle, which in the history of our country was many. It was a war to destroy our people. Invaded Nazis did not come to conquer - they came to kill. This was not the arbitrary rule of distraught warriors and marauders - it was a plan. This film is not about Germans and Russians. This film is not about falsifying history and appropriating other people's merits. This is a film about how the war changes people, how in extreme situations his true essence is manifested. This is a short feature film about the events of the Great Patriotic War. In the center of the work is the story of K. Paustovsky, the prologue and the epilogue are compiled based on the materials of the Nureberg process, stories and eyewitness accounts. "And then a man settled down next to our farm. He was dishonest and evil, engaged in speculation. You yourself know that these people have no heart or honor. When the Germans captured our village, for some reason they did not touch it. Our houses were looted, all those who survived were driven to the square and left without food. We were starving. And then he had a good idea - load the cart with a potato, "give in hand" to the German sentry, drive and exchange potatoes for the last of our things. "I will," he said, "change potatoes only to those women who have children, because they are ready for anything for the sake of children and I will earn three times more on this"
