- An equal rights movement demonstration turns nasty when the protesters lock several dozen guests in a hotel dining room and plan to keep them hostage until their demands are met. - A man is robbed and killed on a dark street but Marshal Tallman exchanges shots with the killer and identifies him as the son of a local farmer. To get even with Tallman, the dying man states that Tallman hanged an innocent boy... Now Tallman has to fight against an invisible, ruthless enemy - a towering wall of mistrust and accusation. He decides to turn in his badge, but that decision comes too late - a grief-stricken father is hot on his trail with a loaded rifle and a vow to avenge his son's death. It's up to Adam MacLean to prove that Marshal Tallman did not make a fatal mistake before it's too late...

While Pepper is trying to get Harriet through the predicament of hospital checkup procedures, young and wealthy Joslyn Westmore is being kidnapped and held for ransom. Her husband, board chairman of a large company, is desperate. When Sergeant Crowley decides to get Joe Styles back on the team to stand in for the Westmore's chauffeur who has to deliver the ransom, he doesn't know that Joe ends up between a rock and a hard place.
- A surprise security check at a local police station leads to the investigation of an assault on a teenage girl. - While the Strike Force team is involved in stopping a bank robbery, Dr. Hardigan and his bride are being harassed by a gang of street punks who have been terrorizing downtown L.A. for quite some time. Following serious complaints by the surgeon, Strike Force is put on the case. Soon the gang strikes again, but this time they leave a corpse behind. - Chief Constable Cullen gets a taste of the action when he witnesses a police officer getting severely beaten. Coming to the young constable's aide, Cullen soon faces a dilemma as one of the culprits makes allegations against the Chief Constable. Eventually, CC Cullen has to appear in court and gladly accepts Inspector Armstrong's help after one of the defendants dies in consequence of Cullen's action to safe a young bobby.
- Jewelry stores are being robbed in downtown L.A. and soon Strike Force suspects that the robbers are members of the police force. While investigating a number of suspects, the head of Internal Affairs has chosen his own prime suspect: Sergeant Gunzer from Strike Force. Captain Murphy is certain that Gunzer has been framed by the real culprits, but it takes a lot of convincing and a joint team effort to set a trap for the robbers and clear Gunzer's name.
- Callaghan and Pauli investigate the case of a missing boy, and soon they are hot on the trail of a previously convicted pedophile named George. At first it sounds too easy that George could have done it again, but soon Pauli finds a breakthrough that stuns the team. Being a father to three little girls the same age of the missing boy, DI Jones begins to take this case personal. All he so desperately wants is to find the missing boy alive and well. Meanwhile, Callaghan has to watch his back for there are some people in Liverpool who aren't willing to forgive or forget that Mickey Sullivan died in Callaghan's presence.

But what begins as a cat and mouse game turns nasty when DI Harry Hawkins finds out that the press is after apparent cases of corruption within police ranks. CC Cullen, however, has his own game in mind, and Task Force members have to tread carefully as they realize they're walking on very thin ice.
- Superintendent Watt gets on the case of a former police officer who seems to be impersonating a CID constable and is harassing the barman at a local pub. Although Charlie Barlow doesn't like the idea, he gives his okay to go after the impostor with high tech surveillance equipment when CC Cullen requests a lawyer-proof case. But things get tense when Sergeant Jackson is assaulted by the impostor and his accomplice. Shortly thereafter, the impostor is severely beaten and ends up in hospital, and all of a sudden Sergeant Jackson finds himself in an awkward position that could cost him his job.
- High school girls are being abducted in L.A., and the police don't have a clue who the kidnappers are and why the girls are being taken. There are no ransom demands, no words from the kidnappers. The girls just disappear. Then a young couple is being attacked on prom night and the girl is seriously injured, but she is able to get away. When she describes the kidnappers and provides names and information, Captain Murphy suddenly knows what's behind the crime scheme. Soon, the kidnappers take another girl, and a young boy is out to take revenge. Strike Force have only minutes to stop the kidnappers and the avenger.

One night he is lured into a trap by a local motorbike gang and severely beaten. While he is fighting for his life in hospital, Sergeants Crowley and Anderson are trying to investigate but end up facing a wall of silence. When the owner of a local café finally breaks his silence, his son is stabbed to death. Still, the wealthy parents of the neighborhood protect their sons and treat the owner of the café like a traitor. Slowly, the CC unit is closing the net around the killing gang, but soon the situation is about to get out of control. It's up to Crowley and Anderson to stop the leader of the kill-crazy gang before more innocent blood is spilled...
- A rumor causes Thamesford task force to investigate at Eastcote docks where someone allegedly brings illegal immigrants into the country. WP/DC Betty Donald goes undercover, posing as a juvenile delinquent, while Sergeant Jackson receives an undercover assignment at a nearby camping site. Soon the investigation turns into a run against time when a bunch of abandoned illegal immigrants need to be located before they end up dead.
- While on the lookout for an escaped prisoner, PC Snow gets involved in a strike at a local factory. As the strike becomes more aggressive, task force members move in and try to de-escalate. Soon DI Harry Hawkins finds trouble heading his way when he inadvertently steps on the toes of a contractor who doesn't appreciate that Hawkins insists to act in accordance with the law.
