- Robbie, Dwight's oldest son, is flunking algebra. He needs a tutor and the one that he gets has Dwight taking a special interest in her.
- Dwight becomes principal of the grade school his sons attend.
- A Spanish speaking woman leads Dwight to sit in with the Spanish class, but he misbehaves and is sent to detention. He's surprised to find Robbie is also there.

- Gwen keeps striking out with men and asks the family to help to no avail. A trip on the ferry provides an unexpected change.
- Dwight's girlfriend comes back from her assignment and all is well until a baseball player, whom Dwight idolizes, asks her out.
