- Nick and Adam are overdue back from patrol. When they arrive they are drenched and their uniforms are in tatters. The other Heelers have no idea of their trauma until Tom asks them to explain themselves and Adam bursts into tears.

- Maggie is telling Dash of her recurring nightmare of a dark and angry horse when Robbie brings in his new employer, Doreen Jackson, and her father, Jim Jamieson, to report that one of his paintings has been stolen - a painting of a horse.
- The police are conducting random breath tests, but one case is to prove difficult for Dash and this will have deadly consequences. All this as Inspector Russell Falcon-Price makes his mark on Mount Thomas.
- Tom is up for promotion against Monica Draper. Wayne's friends try to cheer him up after he is served with divorce papers by Roz. Tom asks out Chris to fend off the advances of an admirer.
- Jonesy questions Tess' innocence when she is accused of stealing a stash of heroine.
- Clancy and Leonie come into spotlight when it appears they are not doing so well in bringing up their baby. As Dash calls human services to look into it, its Tom and Chris who are going to have to make some hard decisions.
- Adam's involvement with security company owner Roland Halliday places him in a difficult position when he uncovers his insurance scam.
- A race meeting draws serious gamblers, serious criminals, and not-so-serious hats to Mt Thomas.
- Jonesy and Alex find the remains of a baby in a burnt pit in the National Park and begin to investigate which leads them to a mysterious cult.
- Tom assigns Roz to help out at the one-man Widgeree station where Senior Constable Alan McCubbin is running behind on his paperwork. Roz makes an excuse so as not to have to return after being subjected to Alan's inappropriate advances.
- New constable Maggie Doyle arrives in Mt. Thomas. She is faced with not only rampant chauvinism but the fact that she will be stationed with her ex-boyfriend, Constable Wayne Patterson, who has recently moved there with his wife Roz.
- While the Heelers are searching for the mother of a baby found abandoned at the railway station, the child is abducted from the hospital. Roz has a rough first day as the station's new administration officer.
- PJ teams up with the Special Response Force and his old friend Senior Sergeant Col Monroe to investigate a series of aggravated burglaries in Mount Thomas.
- Ben buys his basketball team pork rolls from a local takeaway shop and is devastated when they all come down with food poisoning.
- A writer with an obsession with murder and mystery, makes an impression on the police and then more so, after a little girl goes missing near a river. Tess is suspicious and he is interviewed, whilst the police investigate him further.
- Tom discovers the Mt. Thomas High School principal has been viciously assaulted and when his stepson says he was offered a black market VCE exam paper, the Heelers suspect exam theft may have been a motive for the attack.
- Maggie's father, Sgt. Pat Doyle, arrives in town on long-service leave and surprises Maggie during a rare, intimate evening alone with PJ.
- Lambs are being attacked and local farmers are determined to form a hunting party as one resident tells the tale of local puma that still roams the countryside. Wayne just can't seem to hit it off with Gabe.
- The fate of a five-year-old boy hangs in the balance due to a maze of untruths after it is reported he has been abducted by his father.
- When a series of bushfires begin to break out around Mt Thomas, investigators intensify their search for the arsonist. Tempers soon flare as suspicions fall upon one of the men charged with protecting those in the fire's path.
- New police premises are quickly organised and two new staff members unexpectedly arrive - Sergeant Mark Jacobs and Detective Amy Fox.
- PJ is back and takes a call from a 3 year-old who's mother is asleep and he can't wake her. His baby sister is also there and is running a fever. But can PJ and the Mount Thomas police force get to them, before the abusive boyfriend gets back?
- Maggie and Nick pull up Charlie Clarke for talking on his mobile phone and are surprised to discover the caller on the other end is no other than the boss.
- A mother, a son, a criminal and another called 'Toes'. The twists and of a case will land some in hot water. And are P.J. and Jo moving out and in?
- Evan (Jonesy) is taking his detective's exam. Amy is left alone with Matt who seems to cause trouble wherever he goes; accident prone Kelly and Joss are doing some detective work of their own, with the theft of some property.
- Amy, PJ, and Senior Detective Garth Henderson find a new link between the last two serial killer victims - their psychologist, Bill Lapscott, who runs a therapy group for victims of sexual abuse.
- An after-hours robbery of the Imperial Hotel is interrupted by the publican, Chris Riley. There is a struggle in the darkened bar, and Chris is left with a badly cut hand and a young female robber in a coma from a blow to the head.
- Jack makes new friends who are in the same position he is in, but orders have come down that as he cannot perform frontline duties as before, so he is to be reassigned.
- An old lady goes missing, so does a baby and there is a missing dog but finding them all is not as simple as that, far from it. Tess also joins the Mount Thomas police force.
- When Adam discovers that a car he has just purchased is part of a stolen car racket, his loyalty to his job and friends hang in the balance. Adam has to make a decision, should he own up and lose risking his money?
- The serial killer is still at large in Mt Thomas but examination of the latest murder victim reveals enough dissimilarity to indicate it was not the same killer.
- Jo and Jonesy find a dead body in a car. Tess and Ben find a naked lady on the highway. Are these two cases linked by any chance? Jo and P.J. have an awkward morning after and Jo's exam results are in.
- Ben's re-involvement with his first wife, Angela, is complicated by the appearance of her jealous husband.
- When Nick stumbles onto the 3SD van broadcasting from the centre of Mt Thomas, the station is thrown into chaos. The disc jockey is discussing an apparent crime wave that is sweeping the town.
- Nick and Maggie investigate unexplained mishaps in a retiree's home whilst Wayne goes on the search for who is breaking into people's houses without stealing anything.
- A spate of car accidents that gets progressively worse has the police attempting to stop this before it kills someone. Jo is being too trusting with the public and Ben is taking the Sergeant's exam.
- When an excited first-time father disowns his newborn baby, Alex and Susie suspect the mother has been having an affair with a young schoolboy. At first they deny a relationship, but when they run away together, the case is all but proved.
- Is Tom going soft? That's what Chris and the Heelers think when he fails to reprimand a bunch of drunken louts. Even when they let a live snake go in the pub and make unsavoury advances towards Maggie and Dash.
- Ben finds his tolerance tested when his 17-year-old daughter, Maddy, turns up at a seedy Mt Thomas nightclub with her "muso" boyfriend, Kyle, having run away from her mother and siblings in Perth.
- An armed robbery, a very sick little girl and a mother who is supposed to be dead, are all linked. The police need to investigate and they will get some help, as Maggie comes back.
- Jo and Susie are on their way to work from a session at the local gym when they discover a woman who has been raped. Is she the second victim of a serial rapist?
- PJ is unable to accept his mother's impending death and he works against her wish to die in peace when the time comes
- Compo Hayes is making a nuisance of himself with the police. Is he running an illegal book on gambling and why will no one admit to it? Maggie gets help for Robbie but can he stay the course?
- A national politician is visiting Mount Thomas and passes away there, where plenty of people remember him. But there is a possible case of foul play and a secret daughter he had, and a son who may stand for the leadership of his late father's party.
- PJ's mother has been diagnosed with terminal cancer. Rather than face her, PJ throws himself into a case concerning the apparent accidental death of a man jailed fifteen years ago for the kidnapping and murder of a young boy.
- Ben takes on the job of prosecuting a teenager accused of the heart-breaking robbery of a grieving widower.
- Nothing is what it seems when a woman rushes into the Mt. Thomas police station claiming a man has kidnapped her children.
- A routine robbery investigation becomes somewhat complicated when Aboriginal artifacts are involved. The Heelers adopt a kid-gloves approach but run into a fair amount of trouble just the same.
- A convicted pedophile released from prison has moved into a house across the road from the local primary school. A young girl goes missing, and the suspect is accused of her abduction. Is he really the monster that so many believe he is?
- Jo finds out her dad Jeff has a new girlfriend, Shaylee, and she is very very young. She is instantly mortified that her father is carrying on with another woman, especially one her own age.
- PJ investigates a series of car thefts from the supermarket parking lot. Each theft victim seems to have a similar description of a man that they saw loitering at the scene. Tom firmly believes that these are not isolated random thefts.
- The debacle of the Danny O'Keefe affair gives Sgt Jacobs and Inspector Falcon-Price the excuse they need to try to finally push Tom out of his job.
- The Heelers are called to a house where a baby appears to have died from SIDS. It is not the first baby this couple have lost, and another is due soon. Amy is suspicious.
- Matt is dealing with a family from East Timor when he was stationed there, whilst the others are investigating abuse in the family. Kelly is afraid as she hears of Estelle's escape from an institution.
- Susie worries about Jonesy's safety when he fails to call her as arranged. As it turns out, Jonesy has a very good reason; not only has he been shot and wounded, but his mobile phone was broken in the process.
- Jonesy and Tess become involved in a suicide investigation of an elderly father with suspected brain cancer. It soon becomes a murder enquiry when PJ discovers bruises on the victim's face and an unregistered rifle.
- Adam finds his pending HIV status a stumbling block with the Mount Thomas community. Elsewhere, Mount Thomas's first bank robbery causes confusion for the Heelers and the suspect turns out to be someone they wouldn't normally suspect.
- Pam, a new female plumber in town, stirs up trouble with Mt Thomas' resident plumber Charlie Clarke. Charlie mysteriously turns up at every job Pam is called to and tries to undercut her price.
- When a brash pair of city detectives arrive in Mt Thomas, PJ is faced with the opportunity to move back to Homicide in the big smoke and have an affair.
- Alex, Joss and all that tension at the station is finally going to come to a head. Tom learns the truth and Inspector Falcon-Price is called in to take the statements, where someone will lose their job.
- P.J. and Tom are caught in the middle of a contentious local land dispute between P.J.'s ex-girlfriend Hilary Edmunds's uncle Stan Horvath and Geoff Lovett who is claiming adverse possession of the land.
- Dash and Jack witness a horrifying double fatality involving two popular young locals. Dash's upset turns to anger when she discovers the car accident was caused by a boy with a crush on one of the victims.
- Ben investigates the health of a baby boy reared by his widowed dad. The man is trying to treat the boy's fever with natural remedies, to the exclusion of conventional medicine.
- PJ recognises a man brought into the station under suspicion of drunk driving as the suspect acquitted in a Melbourne rape case two years prior. PJ is still convinced of the man's guilt.
- There's been a bunch of mobile phones stolen and a car chase leads to an accident at some new lights. Ben's sister comes to town. One of P.J.s snitches dies and P.J. is a little upset?
- Local farmer Jack Buckley wins Oz Lotto. The next day, however, Jack claims his winning ticket has been stolen, but PJ becomes skeptical because there is some doubt that the ticket ever existed.
- A boy complains a teacher has hit them, but accusations fly around that someone else has committed assaults and others have not. There are also more incidents at the school and further afield. Who really is the bully?
- Adam and Dash find Tony Timms, reporter for the Mt. Thomas Gazette, dazed and injured on the riverbank. Tony is eager to recover his camera but he won't say who attacked him or why he was there.
- PJ and Amy are called to the O'Keefe home after a home invasion.
- As Mount Thomas settles back into its routine, Jack's great grandfather, Maurie, turns up. With a spate of burglaries and thefts going on, Maurie and another grandfather, Chook Fowler, become the main suspects.
- A baby has gone missing. As the mother's sanity is questioned, the police investigation is looking more like there was never really a baby, but Adam and Nick are investigating other leads that suggest something is going on.
- Nick gets bashed on the head and the Torrini's are having a baby - both go to hospital but that's only the start. Adam's career is in the balance and he is about to be sued on top of it all, but can Dash save the day?
- Two bikers are pulled over but this is just the start of all the problems. Looking for someone, they find him and though their rules prevent them from crossing Tom, for now. But how long can the police hold off the gang of bikers?
- Maggie's boyfriend is suspected of being on the take when a horse racing ring-in is discovered. Maggie's hopes of being promoted into the detective ranks is derailed by the appearance of a rival from St Davids.
- An elderly patient of doctor Bourke's passes away and leaves most of her estate to him, the family raise a complaint. Other people are not happy with the doctor and tongues start to wag, and there's already been a break-in at the surgery.
- Tony Timms is onto the case of a dangerous dog. Dash finds one, but is it the culprit? Something is setting off the dog at certain people it comes into contact with. Dash then has to deal with some troubling personal news on top of this.
- Tom is caught between a rock and a hard place when two old friends and colleagues are suspected of stealing a large marijuana crop. One is a rule breaker, the other has always played by the book.
- Ben is already miserable with flu when he falls down a mantrap in the State Forest. PJ is disbelieving when Ben accuses a fairy of stealing vegetables from his garden.
- The visiting investigator gets increasingly aggressive in his methods and P.J. is still angry at Ben, as who started the fires is still be looked into. Jonesy gets lost in the middle of another fire and is not heard from.
- Wayne's attempts to serve a warrant are complicated when his target evades him by fleeing up a tree.
- When a dog starts killing Charlie McKinley's sheep, all fingers point to Tom and Grace's family dog, Sabu. But Grace's son, Nelson, insists his best friend is innocent.
- The Heelers investigate a serious road traffic accident and PJ tries to avert trouble between two warring neighbours.
- When Ben and Dash visit a farm to enquire about a spate of thefts in the district, they discover that those pillars of the community, the Frasers, are involved in a violent argument.
- Tom pulls troublemaker Tim from Rabbit Creek, but gives him last rites, the paramedic also pronounces him dead. When Tim comes back to life, everyone sees Tom as a miracle healer and Tim's life is also changed driving both up the wall.
- A man, Enzo, returns from prison who took a lot of locals money and lost it all and no one wants him there, including Tom and Enzo's family. But things are going to turn ugly and vicious with a lot of people wanting revenge.
- Tom finally returns to the station and takes immediate charge but this causes much discomfort with the rest of the Heelers.
- Out on a night-long patrol, Jonesy and Alex are called to a noisy private party. Arriving at the bash, the Heelers soon realise they've come to the home of Jason Tyler, the new boyfriend of Jonesy's ex-love and police colleague, Susie.
- Joss finds himself in the middle of an armed stand-off on the football field when a feud between two members of his Blue Light Soccer Team gets out of control.
- Deranged father Michael Fielding abducts his young daughter from school and tells Adam in a phone call that she is being abused by her step-father Ian Rasheed. Meanwhile, Adam anxiously awaits his HIV test results.
- The Heelers are forced to evacuate their new building and call in the Bomb Squad when Amy finds a bag containing a suspicious metal object in their reception area.
- PJ risks being unable to keep his promise of a 'sure-thing conviction' to the daughter of an assault victim when he loses a critical piece of evidence that could result in the accused walking free.
- The local jewellers is reportedly handling stolen goods but they have the paperwork and the owner is a friend of Tom's. Meanwhile, Maggie is unable to handle Robbie and his problem, so calls her father for backup.
- It's time for the annual "Make a Wish" Talent Quest and Nick has a vision for the Heelers - Mt. Thomas is about to enjoy the rustic poetry of Banjo Paterson in a way they'll never forget.
- When a body is found by the railway line the investigation leads the Heelers to a local internet café, run by a warring husband and wife.
- Tess struggles to keep her emotions under control as her hormones give her a "pregnancy brain". When a pedantic husband tries to stop his pregnant wife playing squash, a scuffle breaks out between them and Tess arrests him for assault
- No one is more surprised than Chris when her supposedly dead ex-husband climbs through her bedroom window in the middle of the night, mere hours after she identified his body in the morgue. ANZAC Day keeps the team hopping.
