- The disastrous attempts of D. Lucas Telmo Midões to achieve in 1981 the independence of the Berlengas islands - lost eight centuries ago, during the conquests of D. Afonso Henriques.
- Je Suis is a doc-fictional film that follows the path of a young woman who faced the challenges of extended solitude. While following an ancient ritual to present a gift to the nature gods, Claude meets a mythical woman, Gaia. The pair embark on a journey together through which the goddess guides her to reconnect with herself and the surrounding world.
- At a certain distance, the Berlenga Island reveals the only evidence of human presence, the tall tower of its lighthouse. Berlenga is a very small island near the Portuguese shore and has only two inhabitants, Mr. Veríssimo and Mrs. Marieta. They live there through the year, between sunny days and hard rain. In the summer, tourists go there to admire its beauty where it's possible to dive through coral reefs and sunken ships, but in the winter the seagulls takeover the entire island. Since 1981, the Berlengas Islands are a protected environment and in 2011 was recognized with the UNESCO's World Heritage Biosphere Reserve title. This documentary is a time capsule that shows how fragile and underestimated this ecosystem is and values the balance between Man and Nature.
- A man is sent to a deserted island, where works as a lighthouse keeper. The days go by without anything happening, until a mysterious girl appears to him brought by the waves. Both try to touch the other, but don't know how.
- A mechanical problem forces a Portuguese Navy Pilot to land on the Atlantic Ocean off the islets of Berlengas. Julião, an experienced sea-wolf, and his crew of fishermen, Pedro, Lacrau and Serrote, fish the pilot, and bring him safely ashore. The pilot is rescued at the manor house of the largest isle, where a beautiful girl lives alone. Rosa's humanitarian interest in helping the young man soon converts in a romantic fancy. When he returns to Lisbon, in the continent, she goes with him - and is engulfed in the lively customs of the city, with dress-up balls, dancing, night-clubs and ladies of the night, gambling, and drinking. The opposite of her earlier secluded life... The pilot seems less and less attracted to Rosa, dancing away in the arms of Lisette, and designing a daring project to cross the Atlantic in an airplane alone with a foolish Brazilean Pilot. The two pilots do attempt the ocean crossing, but they fail, and after a rescue attempt by the Navy, they are declared as lost in the sea. Rosa returns to Berlengas, and tries to get back to the simple love that Pedro professed for her once. Only, he does not want her, after she has been away with another man. Rosa attempts suicide by drowning, but Pedro manages to save her, and accept her.
- The epitome of the "Island Syndrome": Life and death, a fragile balance. Images and Music building up to the inexorable end that awaits us all.
