The 35 Year Old D.W. Griffith
Single-Black-Male31 October 2003
This film has the distinction of being the very first film that was made in Hollywood. Although Cecil B. DeMille is regarded as producing the first feature film (The Squaw Man), Griffith predated him some four years earlier. DeMille regarded him as the 'teacher of us all'.
