Making a Living (1914)

** (out of 4)

An out of work beggar (Charles Chaplin) take a job as a reporter, which gets him into all sorts of trouble. I'm really not a fan of Chaplin's work at Keystone and in fact, I'm really not a fan of Keystone's work period. This early Chaplin film is interesting only to see the genius trying to work out his character, which would eventually become The Tramp. There's one good scene where Chaplin gets into a fight and uses his cane to keep the other guy away.
