Beautiful "Gal," her memory gone from amnesia, lives under the protection of dance hall owner Diamond Terry in the Northwest woods town that sprang up when John Waterman struck gold nearby. Three strangers at the hall watch Gal with interest: Klondyke Jim, Dr. Ferguson, and a pale, emaciated man. Gal rebuffs Jim's advances, but she is mysteriously affected by a diamond necklace he has. When the necklace is missing from Terry's safe, Jim accuses Gal and then threatens to ruin Terry unless Gal will marry him. Gal consents, to save Terry, but during the ceremony, the emaciated stranger, in reality John Waterman, remembers that Jim stole that same necklace years ago from Waterman's bride and left Waterman dying. The bride, in reality Gal, fled, having lost her memory, while Waterman was saved by Dr. Ferguson. After a fight in which Terry and Jim are killed, the necklace is found on Jim. Gal's memory is restored and she and Waterman travel to civilization.
