- A clear-eyed, outlandishly pretty young girl is persuaded to assume a past. Like a man trying on an army uniform, she rather fancies it at first. But the rub comes when she finds what goes with the uniform of a checkered career. Polly is depicted with a lightness and deftness of touch that makes the situation thoroughly delightful, genuinely funny, and promising of spicy eventualities. Her predicament is enough to make you wonder just what will become of her. (Print Ad-Spokane Daily Chronicle, ((Spokane, Wash.)) 25 February 1921)
