A preserved print of this film survives in the UCLA Film and Television archives.
As part of the publicity for the film, Jolson claimed he had downed two quarts of scotch before doing his drunk scene, so it would be more realistic. (This was during Prohibition.)
Two songs are missing from the existing prints that were in the original release: "The Call of the South" and "Knights of the Road." They were written by Irving Berlin and sung by Al Jolson.
