Teenage boy in hock up to his eyeballs threatens to kill the gambler to whom he is indebted. When said gambler turns up dead he's chased down and given a date with the hangman. An old cowboy knows his friend is innocent and goes after the real killer.

Standard Western tale that seems a bit too creaky to have been released in 1935. It has the feel of a film made some five years earlier when sound was just coming in. I kind of lost interest from the get go when I found I was laughing more at the silly bits beginning with a hero, with so much eye make up he looks like an eyeless Egyptian hieroglyph (the black around his eyes make his eyeballs look white), playing baseball with some kids in the street. To me it never got better only more tedious. Lots of riding. Little talk. It seemed like a long 45 minutes (I saw the Alpha Video print)to me.
