Corporal Rex Lease of the Border Patrol goes undercover to smoke out smugglers who have been running silk across the Mexican border, using Janet Chandler's oil field as a hiding place.

It looks to me like this is a super-short western, about 40 minutes in total. Since that was far too short even for a B intended for the kiddie matinees, it's eked out with Johnny Luther's Cowboy Band singing some songs -- including "That's Where My Money Goes" twice; a busted cuckoo clock that needs to be repaired, Yakima Canutt in one nice fight sequence (and I guess that's him being dragged on the ground a couple of times), and trick rider Mabel Strickland and her horse, Sunday. Miss Strickland has some utility to the plot; it is she who rides to alert the army, in a long sequence that shows off her tricks and helps stretch out the movie to a bare 56 minutes.

About the only thing that is particularly good in this movie is Eddie Linden's cinematographer, with nice compositions and moving shots. However the erratic pacing of this movie makes it hard to watch.
