The Kurtz and Higgins families in the Ozarks can't seem to agree on anything. While the Higginses operate a general store in the hamlet, the Kurtzes, led by their matriarch, harbor ambitions to be a musical success on the radio. They argue about grocery bills, romance, and music, but a Romeo-and-Juliet-type romance might ultimately bring the disagreeable families to agreement on something.
