My Man Clarence.

Warning: Spoilers
A wacky second feature based on a novel by Booth Tarkington, this gives character actor Roscoe Karns a rare lead, and he's quite amusing in the silly situation he's thrust into. As the title character, he's confused for a taxi driver by the irascible Eugene Pallette who demands a ride home. No mention of whether or not the car he drives Pallette to is actually his, but before the car engine is even cold, he's taken a job as a handyman and becomes involved in the wacky family's drama.

There's wife Spring Byington, grown children Johnny Downes and Eleanore Whitney, tutor Charlotte Wynters and maid Inez Courtney. Karns easily plays nursemaid and therapist to everyone as outside of Wynters, nobody seems to have a sensible thought in their head. Whitney is involved with a much older sleazy looking social climber (Theodore von Eltz) so it's all pretty messy. Certainly nothing to praise, like other versions of Tarkington stories, but quick and easy to get through.
