While discussing who was the greatest ace of The Great War, Baron con Guttard claims that Baron von Richtofen was killed by French infantry. Richtofen was shot down over an Australian sector while being pursued by a Canadian RAF pilot Roy Brown. The RAF gave Brown the credit for shooting him. However, the Australians maintained their antiaircraft gunner did it. The controversy continued among aviation historians for a century.
The German fighter pilot is wearing a WWI-style uniform. Germany had no air service from 1919 to 1935. If he was still on active duty in 1936 he would be wearing the Luftwaffe uniform which became available in 1935.
