- A secret agent goes after the gang that stole the crown jewels of a European monarchy.
- In Chapter One (Modern Pirates), the G-Men learn that "Brenda", notorious jewel thief, is heading for the United States, to steal the Belgravian crown jewels currently on exhibit. The gems are placed on a ship bound for Belgravia, the guard is murdered and the jewels stolen. Secret Agent X-9 trails Blackstone, one of the gang, who hides the gems in a safe deposit vault of a bank. He takes the bank receipt to an art shop, where Marker, an accomplice, conceals it between an oil painting and its frame. X-9 arrests Blackstone and pursues Marker, and leaps into the speedboat Marker is getting away in. The speedboat crashes in to a buoy...see Chapter Two at this theatre next week. Shara Graustark) and Baron Michael Karsten, embassy attaché responsible for the jewels, show up next week and the remaining chapters deal with the recovery of the jewels and the unmasking of the mysterious "Brenda". Secret Agent X-( (Scott Kolk) trails Blackstone (Henry Brandon), one of the gang in a safe-deposit vault of a suburban bank. Blackstone takes the bank receipt to an art shop, where Marker (Max Hoffman Jr), an accomplice, later conceals it in between an oil painting and its frame. - Chapter Two: THE RAY THAT BLINDS - X-9 drops into the water just before the speedboat crashes. Harbor police rescue him and Marker. At the art Shop the blonde beauty, Shara Graustark (Jean Rogers) is visited by Baron Michael Karsten (Monte Blue), Belgravian ambassador attache responsible for the stolen jewels. He leaves for G-men's headquarters, where Blackstone is released on a technicality. X-9 brings in his prisoner, Marker. See a gun in the Baron's coat, Marker grabs it and runs to the roof where he falls to his death. Blackstone and his gang search the art shop paintings for the bank receipt with a powerful x-ray machine, after kidnapping Shara. X-9 frees her and then pursues the gang in a car. - Chapter Three: THE MAN OF MANY FACES - Other g-men ride up and rescue X-9 and Pidge from the car wreck. G-Man Tommy Dawson (Henry Hunter), helping X-9, trail some paintings to the Raymond Estate, riding with Shara who delivers them. Shara tosses a painting into some roadside bushes and the Baron grabs it, driving off in the opposite direction. X-9 and Pidge trail him and he flings the painting into some underbrush. Pidge hunts for the painting whileX-9 and the Baron go to the Raymond Estate. There, Raymond is found murdered. Pidge telephones X-9 he has found the painting.
