- This was Universal's 37th sound-era serial (between "Radio Patrol" and "Flash Gordon's Trip To Mars") and was based on the long-running King Features comic strip by Lyman Young. Tim Tyler and his sidekick, Spud, had been members of The Ivory Patrol in adventures in the newspapers prior to the making of this serial, but the story here starts with Tim coming to Africa in search of his father, Professor Tyler, a noted scientist who has gone to the gorilla country and turned up missing. Tim stows away on a river steamer and meets Lora Lacey, posing as Lora Graham, who searches for "Spider" Webb, an ivory-safari robber and thief of a diamond, for whom Lora's brother is unjustly serving time for the theft. Lora and Tim pursue Webb, which leads them to Tim's captive father. They are able to beat Webb and his minions, vindicate Lora's brother and share a vast ivory treasure.—Les Adams <longhorn1939@suddenlink.net>
- Chapter One: Jungle Pirates
While captured wild animals are hauled aboard a riverboat, a cage loses control and crashes into a crate, revealing young stowaway Tim Tyler (a stowaway since Captain Trowbridge won't allow him to travel as a passenger). Tim is soon captured, and Trowbridge is ready to throw him off the ship when passenger Lora Lacey offers to pay for the boy's passage. Captain Trowbridge, however, won't accept responsibility for dropping a boy in the jungle.
Led to her cabin and spotting explorer Garry Drake in the adjoining room, Lora writes a letter to her brother of her quest for the notorious Spider Webb. Meanwhile, Tim slips back aboard. As JuJu the chimp watches, Tim almost gets caught by Lora as she exits her cabin to mail her letter. As JuJu gets shooed by the captain, Lora delivers her letter, JuJu runs upstairs, and Tim hides in the cargo hold. Returning and seeing Garry, Lora entices JuJu to steel her hat. Garry "rescues" the hat and returns it to Lora, and the riverboat gets underway.
As it nears 9:00 PM, Tim wakes up. Above, before turning in, Garry explains to Lora about the Ivory Patrol's duty to stop smugglers. After she enters her cabin, Garry slyly locks Lora in and signals a man who has been lulling everyone aboard with a concertina. The captain is shot. Tim sees Garry talking to another henchman discussing Spider's instructions: no one must be left alive except the girl. Tim unlocks Lora's cabin and enters. Her guns are in the hold but they must flee without them. Over the crocodile-infested river, they grab tree limbs and vines to depart the ship.
The river pirates have successfully killed all others aboard. Finding Lora gone, they presume she's in the river with the crocs. Lora and Tim sit in a tree and watch the boat sail away. They decide to get down to the forest floor but a growling lion kills that idea. They'll have to spend the night in the tree.
Unloading the riverboat the next day, Garry and a cohort gloat over their haul - fifty rifles, 10,000 rounds of ammunition and five cases of grenades. "The Ivory Patrol won't have them to use against us" chuckles Garry. Just then, Ivory Patrolman Kelly rides up on his horse, flanked by a native on foot. The patrolman is shot dead and the native runs off, pursued by the river pirates. They shoot and wound the native, and the horse runs off as well. The wounded native beats a rhythm on a fallen, hollow tree trunk. Elephants get agitated. A distant native picks up and beats out the message on a drum. Lions get agitated. At the Ivory Patrol base, a bugler has called the Ivory Patrol horsemen to attention when an excited native runs in, speaking urgently in his native Kadunga dialect. Sgt. Gates translates for Capt. Clark: A white soldier has been shot along river by bad man, a white man, not a native. Clark leads a squad to investigate.
The tank-like Jungle Cruiser, driven by Spider, finally comes along to pick up his men and their haul. Garry orders the men to avoid saying anything about killing the trooper, but Spider already knows about it. This will be the unwanted incident to fire up the Ivory Patrol. Did Garry mess up the boat job as well? Garry confesses that Lora got away, a woman he believes (rightly) is hunting Spider for framing her brother in the Kimberly Diamond heist.
Walking along in the jungle, Tim and Lora come upon Spider and his men loading the Jungle Cruiser. Since the Jungle Cruiser was designed by Tim's dad, this group must be friends, but Lora recognizes Garry Drake. No, these men MUST be the pirates.
A black panther interrupts the pair, causing Lora to scream. Their cover blown, they flee back into the jungle. Having heard Lora's scream, Spider and Garry seek to find out if indeed it is her. Tim spots Kelly's galloping horse; its rope fortunately snags on a tree protrusion. Tim controls and mounts the horse, then swings Lora up behind him, and they ride off. Spider and Garry enter the deep woods and spot the panther. Garry shoots it, the cat drops, and Spider supposes the scream came from it. They turn back for the cruiser when Tim and Lora ride by on the horse. The pirates all enter the cruiser and pursue the horse.
Now in a rocky plains countryside, they shoot at Tim, Lora and the horse. Sgt. Clark and patrolmen see this odd scene and pursue the tank. A henchman spots the pursuing Ivory Patrol, but Spider wants the girl. A Patrol horse drops and Lora cries out that the pirates are shooting the guards. "We can't help it," cries Tim and they continue to flee on the horse. As everyone races downhill Spider chucks out a grenade. Tim and Lora's horse stumbles, dropping Tim and Lora to the ground as the speeding tank closes in.

Chapter Two: Dead Man's Pass
Recap. Just in time, Tim recovers and drags the unconscious Lora away before the Jungle Cruiser runs her over. He halts the patrol to bring aid to Lora. Sgt. Gates and some of the patrol remain while sending others after the Cruiser.
Thanks to pilings, the tank drives through quicksand, which drives back the horsemen.
Tim explains to Sgt. Gates that he's searching for his father, Prof. Tyler, who built the Jungle Cruiser for protection against wild animals while studying apes. It isn't known how it fell into the hands of cutthroats. Lora revives and confesses to knowing one of the men, Garry Drake, who works for Spider Webb. Patrolman Spud points out the return of the patrolmen chasing the tank. They report losing Spider at a bed of quicksand bordering the Ugambi Swamp.
Hauling their stolen goods carefully through the swamp, Spider warms them to be careful. A man says he ain't forgetting what happened when Beavan slipped off the path; he can still hear the screams. That very man then slips, but Spider's more concerned for the stolen rifles. The rifles are saved but the man is sucked under. No use. He's gone.
Excitedly, JuJu climbs a post on the abandoned riverboat as the Ivory Patrol finds it. JuJu leads them to the body of Capt. Trowbridge, shot three times. Sgt. Gates orders for the boat to be searched and consoles JuJu. Lora and Tim come aboard and see Capt. Trowbridge's body. Tim wonders if the same's befallen his dad. Gates asks Tim to water his horse for him. Spud reports the engines are okay, but not the crew. As Lora checks her things in her cabin, Spud understands from Gates asking about finding a pick shovel that he wants the corpses buried.
At the spring, a black panther's growl unsettles Gates' horse. Tim takes Gates' gun and seeks the source. Finding the cat with a shot leg, Tim wants to help. He fetches some water in his hat for the cat to drink. Tim fixes the cat's paw as Lora and JuJu find him. Tim points out its the cat Garry shot, saving their lives. Lora prevents Gates from shooting it. Tim bids the cat farewell. Gates suggests Lora return on the boat, but she's come to ostensibly hunt big game so will stay. Tim will stay, too, and seek his father.
Tim, Gates, Lora and Spud return to the outpost, where there's commotion and a man on a stretcher. Trouble up in Mianza country - gorilla country, big ones, too. Natives found ivory trader Jim Conway in the bush, beaten so badly that all he could say was that his ivory safari was wiped out. Clark orders Gates to establish a base camp up that-a-ways. Tim asks to see Jim but the doctor brushes him off, too concerned about saving Jim's life. Gates' patrol heads out.
Later on, Jim calls out for the doctor. Only Tim hears him and responds, bringing him a drink of water. Traumatized, Jim relives his harrowing experience, envisioning gorillas attacking him. The doctor returns and berates a black servant for leaving a patient alone, then shuts Tim out.
Tim sets out on horseback to join the patrol. A lion and panther walk and growl about. The lion charges Tim. Tim pulls out a rifle but the horse rears, knocking Tim off and flat on his back. Tim scampers up a tree with the lion clawing at his heels. The grateful but wounded panther comes along and takes on the lion. Tim jumps down, picks up his gun and shoots the lion dead. In gratitude, Tim approaches the panther, but the cat toddles off. Tim finds the panther's full gratitude wanting but smiles and says, "I'll be seeing ya" and continues on on foot.
Walking along a cliff face, Tim spots natives toting ivory tusks. Tim greets and joins them and reports that natives attacked Jim Conway. The leader (identified in Chapter Three as Mr. Spencer) doubts this news, as Jim is blood-brother to half the tribes in Africa. Gorillas atop the cliff face begin to attack, showering the group with large rocks hurled from above. Tim and Mr. Spencer fire at the apes with their rifles. The rock from one ape strikes a native, hurling him to his death. Spencer shoots that ape dead while another ape's rock knocks him down and over the edge, to dangle against the mountainside with a busted arm. Tim goes to his aid, calling for a rope from the natives, who are scared of getting stoned. Tim persuades one and, throwing the tied end over his head and shoulders, has the native lower him over the rock face to save Mr. Spencer (who holds onto tree outcropping with one hand). An ape's rock hits he native's shoulder. He drops the rope and Tim drops down the mountainside toward his death.

Chapter Three: Into the Lions' Den
Recap. Tim's rope catches in a crevice, stopping his fall towards death, but Mr. Spencer falls fully to the bottom. Tim slips out of the rope and climbs to the bottom while the surviving natives flee to safety. Reaching Mr. Spencer, who's still alive, Tim goes off to a stream to fetch a hatful of water. Both spot the Jungle Cruiser driving by. Mr. Spencer means to call their attention for help, but Tim asks him not to, as the men inside would be apt to kill them rather than help them.
As the Jungle Cruiser stops nearby, Tim drags Mr. Spencer beyond its notice. Pleased with the ape attack, Spider orders his men to collect the discarded tusks. Spencer tells Tim to go, but Tim hangs by. Spider approaches a nearby tusk. Tim and Spencer fear they'll be discovered and killed, but a growl from the panther (hanging around nearby) takes Spider's attention and he shoots at the cat.
The Ivory Patrol approaches. As the patrol passes, Tim gets Sgt. Gates' attention. The criminals scurry into the Jungle Cruiser and depart. The Irony Patrol pursue, taking a shortcut, but Spider throws hand-grenades and outruns the horses. Spud is apt to pursue, but Gates says for all to return to Tim and learn what he's doing out here.
As Mr. Spencer rests comfortably, Tim explains how Fang (name given to the panther) saved him from a lion, as if in thanks for treating his wound. For Spencer, seeing would be believing.
The patrol returns and Tim directs Gates' attention to Mr. Spencer. The patrol heard the shooting and thought it was Spider's bunch. No, it was Tim and Spencer fighting off the ape attack. The safari natives arrive, just in time for them to carry Mr. Spencer back to Ambaizi (the Ivory Patrol base). Gates insists Tim return with them, even though Tim begs to stay and search for his father. Mr. Spencer told Tim of a white man living with the Batwonga tribe, but Gates doesn't think it can be Tim's father as THAT man insights all natives to attack all other white men.
As the safari natives and partial patrol riders return to Ambaizi (with Fang shadowing), Spud notices that Tim has given them the slip. Spud and two other boys double back to find him.
Once back at base, Spud reports searching for Tim and his horse but with no luck on either. Lora eavesdrops. After Spud and Capt. Clack leave the office, she enters and goes over Clark's desk, reading a report that Spider may not necessarily instigate the gorilla attacks but he certainly profits by it. Lora asks the doctor about Jim Conway and is allowed entry. Inside, she strikes a deal with Jim to take Spider Webb alive and force a confession that'll free her wrongfully imprisoned brother.
Tim stops to drink from a stream. Alone, he further decides to strip down and take a swim. A crocodile, noticing Tim, enters the water, an action not missed by watchful Fang. A few strokes out, Tim sees the croc and swims fast for shore, climbing up an embankment where his ankle entwines with vines that trip and trap him. The croc climbs out for a nice teenager tartare, but Tim sees Fang nearby and calls to him. Tim happily redresses as panther and crocodile fight. Following that, he thanks Fang and suggests hunting up some food together, but natives approach and Fang retreats to the trees.
Tim scampers up another tree to avoid them, too. He watches as the natives spot a safari ahead of them and spread out. As Tim looks through his binoculars at the safari, the natives spot him and chuck their spears at him. Fang pops out to scare the natives while Tim drops into the saddle of his captured horse and rides away. Tim rides to the unaware safari amid thrown spears from the other group of stalking natives. With the sounds of whooping natives coming towards them, Lora recognizes Tim, who rides ahead of the aggressing tribesmen. Mr. Conway recognizes that they're outnumbered and exposed. He hightails the safari towards some rocks where they can defend themselves. They begin shooting the attacking natives. Tim orders them into a cave, but the cave is full of lions. The lions charge, and Lora discovers she's out of bullets (which apparently also holds true for Tim). They flee as a lion chases them and grabs Lora. Tim head-butts the beast with his rifle-butt, whereby the lion wrestles Tim to the ground.

Chapter Four: The Ivory Trail
Recap. Lora is suddenly up a tree as the lion messes with Tim on the ground. Tim escapes the lion's attentions and scrambles up the tree to join Lora, with the lion attacking Tim's butt and boots, tooth and claw. Tim and Lora are now both well treed with the heavy lion trying to climb up after them. Natives continue to attack with spears as Mr. Conway and party shoot back with bullets. Angry lions help disperse the hostile tribesmen as Conway comes upon the sight of the lion treeing Tim and Lora. Conway shoots and kills the lion. Relieved, Tim and Lora climb down.
The group can hold out in the rocks for a while, but they need help. Tim informs them that the Ivory Patrol has set up a base nearby and offers to find them. Mr. Conway can't let him do that with the jungle full of Batwongas, but Tim, grinning ear to ear, says not to worry and runs off.
After all the lions, spears and gunfire, Tim's horse stands faithfully upslope, ready to be mounted. The white leader of the Batwongas sees Tim and his horse and orders the natives after him. They chase on foot but Tim's horse outdistances them.
Passing through some low branches, Tim is snared in a net. He's released by an amused man (Jules Lazarre), but as Garry Drake steps forward it's apparent to Tim he's among Spider Webb's people. Tim dummies up, so they frisk him looking for any messages for the Ivory Patrol and find a letter. Reading it, Garry orders Jules to take Tim into the Jungle Cruiser.
Back at the ambush, Conway sees that the Batwongas are preparing to attack and declares they're in a pretty bad way. Tim better return pretty soon with the Ivory Patrol. The Batwongas attack. Luckily, the patrolling Ivory Patrol hears their gunfire and investigates in time to save them. Concern turns towards Tim when they discover he never reached the patrol. Gates takes Patrolman Barry to find Tim while the others get the safari back on the trail before heading back to camp.
At Spider's camp, Tim is carried across Jules' shoulders, blindfolded so he can't remember how to cross through the quicksand. Somewhere close, a crocodile growls. Jules warns Tim against making him lose his balance; there's quicksand all around for him to drown in if he does. Garry takes Tim to Spider's cabin and reads the letter, which reveals Tim as Prof. Tyler's son and bespeaks of an elephant's graveyard strewn with millions in ivory tusks. Spider's eyes stare covetously. Tim won't help him, so Spider puts Jules in charge of the boy. Spider asks Mogu, his native servant, how he can find a white man in the jungle. Through drums, says Mogu, and soon he pounds out a signal to reach "the white man who talks with gorillas."
The drumming agitates a lion, a chimpanzee, a leopard, a sable antelope and a tribe of African dancers. Further drumming agitates a leopard, a hippo and a lion. Far away, Prof. Tyler takes notes of a gorilla examining a phonograph. The native chief of the Kora-Koras comes along, and Prof. Tyler walks down to meet him. The chief brings the message of Tim looking for father. Drums say to meet at Devil Stone near Biar McFarlow Falls. Why did Tim come to Africa? The professor's letter to his son two months ago must have gotten lost. Tyler will go. The chief offers many warriors to accompany him, but Tyler says two or three will be enough.
Elsewhere, Gates and Berry spot Tim's horse. Lack of marks on it means it wasn't a cat that got Tim. The two hear the noisy, mechanical Jungle Cruiser coming along. They put two and two together and wonder if Tim's inside it. The men can't outrun it or shoot through it, but they have surprise on their side.
Though Devil Stone is bad juju for Mogu and his people, Spider orders him to the rock as he's the only person whom Prof. Tyler wouldn't recognize.
Up a tree and watching, Berry reports the Spider bunch hiding in the brush for an apparent ambush. Prof. Berry and six warriors arrive; Mogu reports that Tim is sick with fever and will lead him to him. Tyler walks right into the trap and recognizes Spider Webb. His warrior escort is told to scram. The patrolmen watch. Gates orders Berry back to watch the horses and wait. The Spider bunch get into the Jungle Cruiser where they'll let the professor see his boy before he reveals the location of the elephants' graveyard.
Excited, Gates sends Berry back to the base while he follows after the Jungle Cruiser, all to rejoin at the swamp. Hearing Sgt. Gates coming up the path, a leopard jumps him from above.

Chapter Five: Trapped in the Quicksands
Recap. While struggling with the attacking leopard - bam, bam - Sgt. Gates shoots it dead with his pistol. Hearing the shots, Berry turns back to find Sgt. Gates. They've lost the trail of the Jungle Cruiser, but knowing where Spider's men are going, Gates and Berry mount up and head for the Ivory Patrol base for more men.
Spider and his men carry Prof. Tyler through the swamp to their hideout. Leaning within Lazarre's doorframe, Tim asks where the others have been. He soon recognizes his father and runs over. Father and son embrace. Tim begs his father not to tell them where the elephants' graveyard is. Spider has Jules take Tim away.
At Lora's camp, Berry and Sgt. Gates return with news that Spider is hiding out in Ugambi Swamp and holds both Tim and his father captive. Gates rides off with his Ivory Patrol. Lora's orders - break camp for Ugambi Swamp. Her brother's been wrongfully imprisoned for three years and she's not waiting another moment against bringing Spider to justice. Conway reminds her that it'll be dark soon and may not be safe, but she doesn't care. She needs Spider alive to clear her brother; she can't risk the patrol killing him.
Jules reports that Tim is down in the mouth and suggests putting the kid with his father. "And have him work on the old man all night?" says Spider; "You're a bigger fool than I thought, Lazarre." Spider reveals his plan for Tim: turn him loose once he gets the ivory but forget to say how to get past the quicksands of the swamp. Jules returns to his cabin, where Tim thinks he's being looked at strangely. Tim feels guilt for his father's predicament; if Spider hadn't read the letter to Tim, Dad wouldn't have been taken prisoner. Tim would rather talk than go to bed. Tim asks about Jules' black panther head on the wall.
Outside, Fang roams; from a tree, a grass owl watches. As Jules talks of killing his panther, Fang jumps up in his window. Alarmed, Jules grabs his gun and pursues Fang (despite Tim plea that Fang's all right). As Jules searches the ground, Fang drops down from the roof and overpowers him. Tim tells Fang not to hurt his friend, that Jules is all right, but Jules bleeds and Tim helps him inside, bringing him some water to fix him up. Jules doesn't get why Tim called him (Jules) "friend," even though he is a guard on him. Tim says he's been good to him and'd like to have him for a friend. In return, Jules will save Tim's life by taking him through the quicksands - but Tim won't go without Dad. Jules explains that Spider will never kill Prof. Tyler as long as he doesn't reveal where the ivory is. They will leave and fetch the Ivory Patrol, leaving at first light, as no one can cross safely at night. Tim treats Jules' wound.
Next morning Garry finds that Jules and Tim are gone and alerts the camp. It's too late to keep quiet. Prof. Tyler hears the news. Spider puts Mogu in charge of the professor as everyone else heads out after the boy. Having crossed the swamp, Jules and Tim reach the Jungle Cruiser. Tim could drive it, but neither has the key to get inside. They run. Drake shoots and Spider warns against hitting the boy. Jules and his cohorts exchange gunfire. One cohort drops and Spider orders his men to get out of range and back to the Cruiser; they run 'em down. The two run and Tim spots the Ivory Patrol. Now it's a race between Spider's men and the Ivory Patrol to get Tim. As Tim and Jules wade through the swamp, Spider decides to blow up the causeway ahead of them with grenades. Grenades explode before Jules and Tim's swamp pathway.

Chapter Six: The Jaws of the Jungle
Recap. After the last grenade explodes, only a hat remains of Tim. Jules calls for the Ivory Patrol to throw a rope as Tim has fallen into the quicksand. One crony, vowing to kill Jules if it's the last thing he ever does, readies to throw another grenade, but a carefully aimed bullet drops him and the grenade explodes among the outlaws. The outlaws flee as the patrol carries Tim and Jules away. Tim is "full of sand and water" but will survive. Jules turns himself in, but Gates, impressed by his heroism in saving Tim's life, doesn't want him. Jules can't fathom this.
As patrolmen work to revive Tim, Lora's safari (with Jim Conway and JuJu) comes along. They see a body laid out (Tim) and wonder if it's Spider. Good riddance says Jim but then recalls that Lora needed him alive and apologizes. Lora tells Gates they were following an elephant spor and heard shooting so they thought they'd look into it. Then Lora realizes it's Tim who's hurt, and right then Tim finally revives. Tim stands and asks Jules if there's another way across the quicksand. If there's a way, only Spider knows, replies Jules. Lora has an idea and asks Sgt. Gates for help with the details. Scene cuts away.
Spider and his bunch return to their camp; Garry reminds the others to say nothing. Prof. Tyler watches their return anxiously and fears harm has come to Tim. Spider threatens the professor with a "death in the Tyler family" if he doesn't reveal the location of the elephants' graveyard. Prof. Tyler says that only the guarantee of Tim's safety will get THAT information from him. Spider orders Mogu to rustle some grub but Mogu stops. A beating drum is heard. It say white woman got little white boy and wanna make palaver with bwana Spider. Garry figures "white woman" means Lora Graham who's been calling herself Lora Lacey. He further deduces it's a trap in connection with a diamond heist three years ago that put her brother in jail. Spider decides not to reply.
It becomes evening. Tim, Gates and Berry wait for word from Spider that does not come. Daylight comes and the three are still watching and waiting. Though worth waiting for, Gates believes Spider would have made his move in the dark. The patrol prepares to return to the base camp. Lora's all for trying something else but turns in for some sleep and suggests Conway do the same. In her tent awaits Garry Drake, who's come to bring her to Spider. JuJu sees them leave together and starts a racket. Conway finds Lora missing and rouses the safari. The noisy Jungle Cruiser, somehow having made its way near the safari camp, whisks away with Lora and Garry. JuJu means to follow and lead the safari after them, but a hungry lion, growling its approach, scares JuJu up into the trees.
Garry leads Lora to Spider. Lora insists her name is Lacey, not Graham, saying the Graham letters in her possession were swiped when Lora stole that woman's luggage. Garry wants something "done" to her, but Lora wants him gone so she and Spider can conduct some business. She wants a cut of the elephants' graveyard deal because she had Tim Tyler. Spider agrees to let her talk to the professor. JuJu watches from the trees. Lora tells the professor to reveal the location of the graveyard; for proof that she has Tim, she reveals Tim wristwatch wrapped in his own handkerchief.
Before they all leave together, Lora asks to freshen up. It leaves time for the professor to find a secret note from Tim in the watch, revealing a plan for the Ivory Patrol to capture Spider and his gang. When Spider and Garry return, the professor says they must go north to Mafalla Falls. Garry warns Spider that he saw the Ivory Patrol less than a mile from there yesterday. Spider changes their approach to the falls, via Kenya Pass.
JuJu enters Spider's camp and hides, then climbs through a window to reach Lora. She tells the chimp that it must find Tim and writes a quick note for the boy. She puts the note in a white handkerchief, ties it around JuJu's wrist, then orders JuJu to find Tim. Garry, impatient to get going and with Lora's delay, spots JuJu exiting her window and fires. Spider intervenes and Garry names JuJu as the chimp who nearly botched getting Lora away from her camp. Lora admits its her chimp, but Spider doesn't care and wants to get going.
Tim's irritated that Jules and the natives (on foot) can't keep up with him (on his horse), so he sends them back to camp and presses on alone to find Lora. No, says Jules, they'll go with Tim. Tim gallops ahead. A hyena appears, the horse rears, and Tim falls off onto his butt. His gun busted, Tim leaves it and begins to walk, rubbing his head. JuJu appears ahead, and somewhere a lion growls and chases JuJu up a tree. In the trees, a leopard comes along. JuJu's handkerchief gets caught on a tree branch. JuJu scampers down to retrieve it. Both cats roar. Tim sees JuJu and, unaware of danger, runs to greet him/her/it. Both wildcats run in for the kill. JuJu scurries up a vine. The lion, attacking Tim's butt with both tooth and claw, pulls the boy down from the tree and wrestles him on the ground [reused footage from Chapter 4].
