This is one of about three dozen British films picked up by CBS in 1949 for USA television presentation; its initial telecasts took place in New York City Friday 17 June 1949 on WBCS (Channel 2), followed by Baltimore Saturday 9 July 1949 on WMAR (Channel 2). Since this title had never been shown theatrically in the USA, these were was also its USA premiere showings. In Cincinnati it first aired Thursday 15 September 1949 on WCPO (Channel 7), and in Los Angeles Saturday 24 December 1949 on KLAC (Channel 13).
Herbert Lomas and Basil Cunard played the same roles in a television broadcast of the play the same year.
