On Monday, Trevor Noah took a look at the crazy details that have emerged since the arrest of politically-connected billionaire Jeffrey Epstein, and concluded the whole thing is gross enough for an entire season of “Law & Order.”
Epstein, who pleaded guilty to felony solicitation of underage girls in Florida in 2008, was arrested on July 6 and charged with sex trafficking, including victims who were as young as 14. Since then investigators also said they found “nude photographs of what appear to be underage girls” in his home. Epstein has pleaded not guilty to the new charges.
On Monday’s episode of “The Daily Show,” the particular detail from the current case that stood out for Noah was that for several years, Epstein lived across the street from Bill Cosby, who was convicted of aggravated indecent assault in 2018 and is currently serving a three-10 year prison sentence.
