Above average Dick Tracy serial with a great villain.

DICK TRACY VS. CRIME INC. is certainly the highlight of the serial series starring Ralph Byrd; it's my favourite Dick Tracy movie yet thanks to the non-stop cliffhanger action, the frenetic fight sequences, and the remarkable stunts. This story has a larger-than-life comic book feel to it thanks to the presence of the main villain called The Ghost, who wears a creepy mask and has the power to turn himself invisible! He goes on a vendetta of revenge and Tracy has to stop him. This one features all kinds of vehicular mayhem and closes with an outlandishly violent battle between our hero and his foe. It's great fun.

Even the opening credits as a police car races at high speed down a city street is exciting! The plot in summary is that "The Ghost" seeks revenge against the people that he feels are responsible for his brothers death. With the aid of a mechanical device,he can make himself invisable. The special effects for this are excellent.Ralph Byrd reprises his role as Tracy, and Ralph Morgan is his adversary.Music, photography, acting and direction are first rate.Another excellent Tracy serial from Republic.

Tracy vs. the Man He Can Not See

Warning: Spoilers
In the last, and in my opinion the best, Dick Tracy serial, the ace detective matches wits with the Ghost, a villain who can make himself invisible. In reality the Ghost is one of 8 members of a city crime council ( 3 members have already been killed when the serial begins ) who sent Rackets Regan to the death chamber ( its is revealed that the Ghost is in reality the brother of Regan, ergo the revenge motive ). Brilliant special effects and amazing chapter sequences make the serial a pure joy to watch and the final fight sequence between Tracy and the Ghost, I believe ranks as one of the greatest fight scenes in film history. In terms of serials, 10 out of 10.
