"Love Is Blind" has some explaining to do. The show's latest season only follows three engaged couples to Mexico, one of whom ends up calling it quits before living together, leaving just two rocky pairs ahead of their weddings. But sleuths on Reddit and TikTok quickly discovered there were several other engagements from the pods that weren't followed, and one in particular - between Renee Poche and Carter Wall - was cut even after cameras followed them to the altar.
Poche and Wall are seen individually throughout the season, first in the pods and later at the reunion BBQ, but their relationship doesn't play out on screen. In fact, fans even noticed glimpses of the two in background shots in Mexico that seemed to be edited out. We know it's common for "Love Is Blind" to stop following certain love stories post-pods, but viewers are wondering why these two weren't...

Currently shooting her upcoming Netflix series “Lidia,” about Italy’s first female lawyer, Lidia Poët, actor Matilda De Angelis was joined by her agent Gianni Chiffi for a masterclass at Torino Film Festival.
“When we decided to open our agency in 2014, Matilda was the first person we met. She was about to begin her cinematic journey and if I hadn’t met her, I wouldn’t be here. That’s the truth,” said Chiffi, who co-founded Volver alongside Consuelo De Andreis. When receiving the David di Donatello award in 2021 for Netflix drama “Rose Island,” De Angelis thanked both, calling them “her angels.”
Born in 1995 in Bologna, the actor made her international breakthrough in Susanne Bier’s “The Undoing,” alongside Nicole Kidman and Hugh Grant.
“As agents, we are the ones driving the car and they are the passengers, but there comes the moment when you finally let them drive,” said Chiffi,...

Netflix Reveals Italian Series Slate
Netflix has revealed a handful of new series out of Italy and confirmed the imminent start of shoot on Elena Ferrante adaptation The Lying Life Of Adults, which will star Valeria Golino. Scroll down for the series (synopses translated from Italian). Netflix’s VP of Italian Originals Tinny Andreatta, the former Rai exec, said: “Being able to show the world Italy as it really is, in its authenticity, in its culture, in its beauty and contradictions, in its roots and infinite reserves of imagination, through the voice of the best authors and directors, and taking it to 190 countries, is our great challenge: it’s a challenge that we want to face together with our production partners and Italian talent.” Previously announced Italian series include Luna Park, out on September 30th; Guida Astrologica per Cuori Infranti (Astrological Guide for Broken Hearts); and Strappare Lungo I Bordi...

Merle Oberon movies: Mysterious star of British and American cinema. Merle Oberon on TCM: Donning men's clothes in 'A Song to Remember,' fighting hiccups in 'That Uncertain Feeling' Merle Oberon is Turner Classic Movies' Star of the Month of March 2016. The good news: the exquisite (and mysterious) Oberon, whose ancestry has been a matter of conjecture for decades, makes any movie worth a look. The bad news: TCM isn't offering any Oberon premieres despite the fact that a number of the actress' films – e.g., Temptation, Night in Paradise, Pardon My French, Interval – can be tough to find. This evening, March 18, TCM will be showing six Merle Oberon movies released during the first half of the 1940s. Never a top box office draw in the United States, Oberon was an important international star all the same, having worked with many of the top actors and filmmakers of the studio era.

It was set for a 50th Anniversary release back in 2009, only to be delayed due to the sheer extent of restoration work done to upgrade this classic film. Read on to discover whether the wait for the ultimate edition of Ben-Hur was really worth it!
Produced in an era that bore a number of epic Biblical tales, Ben-Hur is possibly one of the most celebrated of a bunch of films that reflect this time period within Hollywood. Made by MGM in 1959 for $15 million (a staggering amount of money for the time and one that meant the film was the most expensive the studio had ever produced), Ben-Hur is an ostentatious symbol of all that is great about Tinsel Town and the sheen and glamour it churns out. However, the film is also a lot more than a simple big-budget Hollywood romp of excess and high-polish: at the heart of the...

Disc Dish has all the details on Warner’s highly anticipated Ben-Hur 50th Anniversary Collector’s Edition DVD and Blu-ray that we wrote about several months back and that’s officially debuting on September 27. This release marks the classic film’s premiere in a high-definition format.
This latest release of the Academy Award-winning 1959 classic (which is technically being release two years after its 50th Anniversary, but we’re not complaining!) has undergone a $1 million restoration—a frame-by-frame undertaking from an 8k scan of the original 65 mm camera negative. According to Warner Bros, it’s the highest resolution restoration ever completed by the studio.
Charlton Heston rides his white horses glory in 1959's Ben-Hur.
The restoration of the classic action-adventure epic drama is almost trumped by some newly-uncovered home movies, shot by the family of star Charlton Heston (Dark City) in Italy during the movie’s production. It’s believed to...

This past week Criterion put up a ton of new content on their Hulu Plus page, a number totaling 37. What’s even more interesting is that they put 10 films that aren’t in the collection or any of their Eclipse sets either, which is always an exciting time for film fans everywhere. As per usual, I’ll be listing the films with the links to their respective pages. This entry will just focus on the non-Criterion collection films for the moment. Also, to keep this article going, please sign up using this link. I’ve already had one person do so, and every time one of you does so, it gives another 2 weeks. So a huge thank you to anyone who signs up.

Bad news, Steven Frank fans! Steven was so busted up by last week's episode that he's locked himself in the bathroom and is still sobbing hysterically over the innocent bystander who got shot in the head and died shortly after his fiancee got to him.
You know, the usual happy, uplifting Southland episode.
But Steven is sensitive that way. He still gets misty when he thinks about Russell Edgington getting entombed in concrete on True Blood last season.
Fortunately, I'm made of much sterner stuff — I write the 90210 recaps after all — and will be stepping in for Steven this week. Alas, I can't hope to fill Steven's shoes, so all I ask is that you be as gentle with me as you know Officer Cuddlybear is with Rookieboy. Okay, strike that. Cuddlybear is actually tough on Rookieboy and I'm not up to that kind of feedback. Instead, I just want...
