Särkkä, is the second part of the series. The first part was great, this one is even better. It's very funny, very funny. The wartime Finland has rarely looked any better.Again, the role of Olli is played by the good old, then young, Lasse Pöysti. And the little Pipsa is played by Maire Suvanto.Yrjö Tuominen and Elsa Turakainen are Väinö and Aino Suominen, while Sirkka Sipilä is Elina Suominen.Unto Salminen is again her sweetheart Lasse. And Siiri Angerkoski is Hilda.Kalevi Hartta plays Jaska Suominen.Aino's father is played by Hugo Hytönen.Sasu Haapanen plays Jaska's father.Irja Kuusla is his mother.Edvin Kajanne and Aino Lohikoski are the Mattilas.Jalmari Rinne plays the teacher.Topo Leistelä plays the headmaster.Actual war orphans, adopted by the director, Martti and Seija Saarikivi, are the twins. It's hilarious when Olli comes to the house dressed as a girl and he has to take care of the baby. There's a great feel of adventure in this movie. When Olli's cycling on the streets of Helsinki, or with Jaska on the countryside on the gravel road...You want to jump into the picture and have all the good time with Olli.
