All the funny mishaps with Pekka and Pätkä
Petey-102 May 2008
Pekka Puupää and Pätkä have to seek for work because Justiina says so.They try some woodwork where they have to do a lot of nailing.Pätkä also does some singing in the street which only causes pain on his jaw.Our short friend has written letters to a bunch of ladies but Pekka gets in trouble because he has used his name in them. That means Justiina is angry at her flower hat husband. At the end fellows find themselves from Korkeasaari even though they wanted to flee to Argentina.Armand Lohikoski is the director and Reino Helismaa the writer of Pekka Ja Pätkä Pahassa Pulassa (1955).It surely tickled my funny bone. It's awfully funny to watch Pätkä imitate an ape at the zoo and much more stuff that were funny.Esa Pakarinen as Pekka and Masa Niemi as Pätkä made such fantastic characters so their appearance alone brings a smile to your face. And when they open their mouths...There's no stop to laughter! When you add Siiri Angerkoski as Justiina and Armas Jokio as Janitor Pikkarainen to the soup...Delicious! Kirsti Ortola plays Mrs.Signe Unelma Johansson.Uuno Montonen is Carpenter Saarinen.Pentti Irjala is Pomo.Veikko Linna is Cleanliness judge Kärnä.Juhani Kumpulainen is seen there carrying a doll.Pekka and Pätkä were the Finnish versions of Laurel and Hardy, without the critical acclaim though. And I think that's a shame. They didn't make any lesser of a comedy team!
