- Ben Lane: They got a horse.
- Frank Jesse: So?
- Ben Lane: A good one they claim. They wanna make a trade.
- Kelly: For what?
- Ben Lane: You.
- Frank Jesse: [with Ben Lane in a cantina, picks up flower from the dancer] Would you happen to know where a man can find a room in this town?
- Mexican dancer: [pouring drinks for Frank and Ben] Sí, senõr.
- Frank Jesse: Some place he could stretch out, full-length, and forget till morning?
- Mexican dancer: Sí, senõr.
- Frank Jesse: Now, uh... where would that be?
- Mexican dancer: The hotel down the street.
- Frank Jesse: What room?
- Mexican dancer: You will have to ask my husband. He is the clerk.
- [she walks away]
- Frank Jesse: It's gonna be a cold night!
- [throws down flower]
- Frank Jesse: Drink up, Lane.
- Frank Jesse: I can see now why your husband would give up all that money to get you back.
- Kelly: Buying my way south was my own idea.
- Frank Jesse: Don't you wonder he'll think you're payin' kinda high?
- Kelly: I know he won't.
- Frank Jesse: Not that you ain't worth it. If it was me, I'd give up every dollar I could lay my hands on. Just the way you walk... like you was all over our lives... and your eyes... the way they make a man go lonely inside... yeah. Every dollar I could lay my hands on.
- Frank Jesse: [referring to Kelly] You know, bein' around a woman like that, gets a fellow to wonderin' why he don't settle down to just one.
- Ben Lane: I always pride myself on being able to size up a man. Somehow I just can't picture you doin' that.
- Frank Jesse: Oh, I admit I've run with quite a few. Nothin' you could call serious, though. Except maybe that little one in Bisbee. Said right out she'd love me. Told everybody... everybody but her husband. That taught me a lesson: Always check the brand and make sure you're not drivin' another man's stock.
