The Searchers song "Saturday Night Out" was issued as the b-side of their worldwide hit version of "Needles and Pins".
The Beatles were offered the chance to appear in the film, but the producers were reluctant to pay the train fare from Liverpool. Another Mersey group, The Searchers, who happened to be in London, appeared instead.
The pop group The Searchers receive 'And Introducing' credit. They sing a few songs in a pub, but have no acting involvement.
Despite previous reports, this was not the last cinema film of Heather Sears. She later appeared in The Black Torment (1964) which was made by the same production team.
