Wonderful TV series that led me to a major in zoology

Because of this excellent series I became enthralled with animals and decided to dedicate my life to helping further the discovery of intricate nature of the animal world.

It was an excellent program for budding biologists all over the world. The combination of the footage captured, the scientific accuracy of the narrative, and the excellent voice of William Conrad this show has the same staying power as Mutual of Omaha's Wild Kingdom.

It would be a solid tribute to the early pioneers of animal television if the Animal Planet were to hold a retro-week where they showcased some of these old shows.

I Went Wild for Wild, Wild World of Animals

I used to love watching this show. This was a show my mom had no problem letting me watch. The opening music escapes me now, but I used to watch it so regularly that when I heard it I knew I was about to see some wild animals get down. The only thing comparable to it today is "World's Deadliest."

One of the few good animal documentaries

William Conrad who has done many voice-overs for cartoons and was a Private Investigator in "Cannon" did an excellant job with this show. TV Land should buy the rights to this show and air it like all the others the station has done. The theme song was memorable too. An excellant idea for students who care for wildlife. Would like to see the show back om the air.
