- In the opening scene, a woman appears in a sheer robe and her nipples are visible through the robe.

- While laying in bed, a man tossed a woman off of him and she falls on the floor fairly hard.
- A woman slaps a man and he presses her face against a wall and then throws her to the ground.
- During a car chase a few pedestrians are almost hit.
- When about to be arrested by two police officers, the main character tries to fight them, a few kicks and punches are thrown, but he is subdued.
- Several instances of prison guards hitting prisoners very hard as punishment or out of anger.
- Two men fight in a muddy swamp, no serious injuries.
- The warden tells a guard to shoot an inmate, however the guard does not.
- Football related violence during the training and the game. There is also some overly violent action between some of the players. Minor blood.
- During practice, a character's nose is intentionally broken by a teammate, though it is comical.

- The racist behavior by the guards is somewhat intense.
- The violence and injuries of some players may be frightening for some viewers.
- The warden ordering a guard to shoot an inmate is frightening.
- The final football game scene is fairly intense.

Violence & Gore
- In the final game, it is highly implied that a prisoner breaks a guard's neck after performing a clothesline.
- In one scene, an inmate fills a light bulb with gasoline and screws it into the socket of an important character's cell. When the character returns to his cell and turns on the light, it explodes, and he burns to death. This scene is not overly graphic, but still is quite disturbing to watch.
Frightening & Intense Scenes
- Caretaker's death is very disturbing.
