I am all sex and violence!

Warning: Spoilers
Well, if you made a better movie, maybe we WOULD be on your side! Biker movie vets Adam Roarke and Larry Bishop star as Parson and Brandy, a pair of restless biker movie actors who decide to live vicariously through their characters by hopping on their bikes and escaping their old ladies for a life of fun and kicks on the road. In the credits montage they even visit a bijou where Savage 7 (starring the real AND fictional Larry Bishop) is playing. It's a postmodern take on Wild Hogs, made over thirty years before Wild Hogs existed! Unfortunately for our heroes, their bikes get totaled by an angry short man, and Parson, Brandy, and newly unemployed sister Brigitte (cutie Alexandra Hay) turn to astrology and drug smuggling to secure their monetary well-being. Copyrighted in 1972, How Come Nobody's On Our Side seems to have sat in the can until 1975, when it leaked onto the drive-in circuit. The presence of Rob Reiner and Penny Marshall in the supporting cast suggests producer Maurice Smith cashed in some personal favours, but neither comedy star adds much to the proceedings. In sum, it's a low key, easy to take comedy effort, and the three leads were clearly having fun together--but Leigh Chapman's frequently illogical screenplay let's the side down.

Even grass can't hide this turkey

That's right, smoke a bowl and you'll still tire quickly of this classic piece of junk from the 70's. It's not funny, it's not entertaining, and it's barely laughable. Not even good for ridicule MST3K tradition.

Give this one a wide berth. Why Penny Marshall and Meathead are in this...maybe they owed someone a favor. Who knows.
