When Jack Elam and company arrives at Joel's house, there is no wind. After spending only spending moments in the house, Ferd goes out to rape Catherine. Throughout the stalking and rape scene a windstorm rages on. Then, Elam send one of his brothers to find Ferd. When he finds him, Ferd is finishing his rape to the sound of the windstorm. The brother then comes back to tell Elam that Ferd has just raped Catherine. Elam goes out to confront Ferd, and the windstorm has ceased completely.
