Arnold Schwarzenegger has accomplished a fair bit in his life. The man came over from Austria having served in the army, claimed the Mr. Olympia title a full seven times, then launched one of the most successful Hollywood careers in the history of the industry, before becoming governor of California and finding time to marry a Kennedy in the process. But surely what he's really concerned with are his Rotten Tomato scores.
Having recently starred in his own Netflix series, "Fubar," recounted his remarkable life in the streamer's "Arnold" documentary, and whipped Jake from State Farm into shape for a Super Bowl commercial, the Austrian Oak is now gearing up for his Christmas comedy with "Reacher" star Alan Ritchson. But between all this stuff, you've got to imagine that Arnie was eager to hurry back to his trailer and pore over the pages of Rt, desperately scouring for the latest...

Korean crime-action webtoon “Knuckle Girl” is being adapted as an original film production for Amazon’s Prime Video. It is structured as a Korea-Japan co-venture.
The narrative revolves around a promising woman boxer, Ran, who takes on school bullies and participates in illegal bouts. When her sister is kidnapped by a criminal gang, Ran must risk her own life, by breaking into the underworld wearing brass knuckledusters, rather than boxing gloves.
The film is directed by Chang, the Korean director who goes by a single name and whose 2014 film “The Target” debuted in the Midnight screening section at Cannes. Writing credits go to Yoo Gap-yeol, whose “Emergency Declaration” also debuted in Cannes, in 2021, and Jeong Byeong-sik (“The Villain”) who wrote the adaptation.
Despite the Korean pedigree, the film stars Japanese female actor Miyoshi Iyaka, who achieved fame with 2010 film “Confession” and stars in both seasons of Netflix’s Japanese dystopian thriller “Alice in Borderland.

This article contains spoilers for "Oppenheimer."
Part of what makes "Oppenheimer" such a rewarding experience is the chance to see Robert Downey Jr. act again. His 13-year run as Iron Man in the Marvel Cinematic Universe ultimately subsumed his career during the 2010s — and his first post-Marvel project was the ill-advised "Dolittle." With this career trajectory, it's easy to forget Downey isn't just a charismatic movie star: he's a really skilled actor, one who hasn't gotten to stretch his muscles in over a decade. "Oppenheimer," his first and hopefully not last movie with Christopher Nolan, finally grants him that opportunity.
Downey plays Lewis Strauss, the man who destroyed Oppenheimer's reputation. From the beginning there's contempt in their relationship; Oppenheimer mispronouncing Strauss' name is the first of indignities that the latter takes too personally. To reflect how their lives intersected, the film employs two framing devices. One, Oppenheimer's security clearance hearing...

Christopher Nolan is a director who seems to like bringing actors with him from one movie to the next. Tom Hardy, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, and Anne Hathaway got roles in multiple consecutive Nolan films, and legendary British thespian Michael Caine has gotten many brief appearances as well. Still, there are few actors who have worked with him as often as Cillian Murphy. It's a partnership that started with the 2005 film "Batman Begins," Nolan's notably serious and gritty reboot of the "Batman" film franchise.
Many decisions were made to distinguish that movie from what had come before with the series. Nolan and company dispensed with the over-the-top and stagebound Gotham of Tim Burton's 1989 film or the cartoony villains rendered in campy glory in Joel Schumacher's oft-criticized "Batman Forever" and "Batman and Robin" for this iteration of the character. The Black List, an annual ranking of Hollywood’s best unproduced screenplays, has unleashed its 2021 edition — a smattering of delicious pop biopics, true crime and even a psychodrama about Mickey Rourke appearing on “The Masked Singer.”
Founded in 2005 by Franklin Leonard, the list surveys top studio and development executives asking them to share the scripts they adored but haven’t yet greenlit. The rankings are then cross-referenced, and popularity is calculated by the frequency a title appears (the “mentions”).
The top script on this year’s list is “Cauliflower,” an intense drama from writer Daniel Jackson.
“Under the cruel guidance of a mysterious coach, an ambitious high school wrestler struggles to become a state champion while battling a bizarre infection in his ear that both makes him dominant in his sport and threatens his sanity,” the synopsis reads. The script was mentioned 32 times across rankings. Jackson is repped by UTA and Bellevue.

69: The Saga of Daniel Hernandez, the latest documentary from Vikram Gandhi, is a cute title but it hardly fits the bill. What felt like a promising premise and a deserved look into the life of a music superstar turns into an unnecessary story of how Daniel Hernandez successfully marketed his fake personas as a vessel for fame, and trolled the hip-hop world.
To a fault, the film at times moves like a Vice TV special––even giving each section a chapter name like “Soundcloud Rap” and “The Villain.” It’s an easy device to highlight what the director is taking us through. It also glorifies his early-day marketing techniques like he’s some kind of genius for featuring sex in his music videos when he started his crew “Scum Gang,” which then later on escalated to gang violence. There is intrigue when 6ix9ine gets caught up with the FBI,...

One of Netflix‘s biggest releases of the month dropped on the site this week – psychological thriller The Devil All the Time. Antonio Campos’ film, as based on the novel by Donald Ray Pollock, had generated a lot of buzz beforehand and now that it’s here it’s fair to say that the hype was justified, as it’s blowing away critics and fans alike.
One of the big draws of the movie is its incredible cast, with the talented ensemble including Sebastian Stan, Riley Keough, Mia Wasikowska, Jason Clarke, Robert Pattinson and Bill Skarsgard. But at the center of the film is Tom Holland, in a role that’s miles away from his famous turn as Spider-Man in the McU. And all are in agreement that the British star rose to the challenge with aplomb.

Gina Carano gained a new legion of fans after her performance as shock trooper-turned-mercenary Cara Dune in The Mandalorian, but it’s safe to say she’s now lost more than a fair few of them after making a joke about pronouns on Twitter that’s being perceived as transphobic.
You may have noticed a trend for people stating their gender identity and preferred pronoun as part of their Twitter bio, declaring “he/him,” “she/her,” “they/them,” or whichever combination they feel is most applicable to them. If you’re unfamiliar with the practice, its intent is to normalize such statements, so when trans, non-binary, intersex and genderflud people feel comfortable revealing themselves to be so, stating how they would like to be referred to can be seen as something standard and not aberrant or confusing.

The latest installment of Batwoman ended with a huge treat for fans. The promo for next week’s episode, “A Secret Kept From All The Rest,” revealed our first look at Gabriel Mann’s Thomas Elliot in his full Hush get-up. The former childhood friend of Bruce Wayne turned homicidal maniac was introduced early on in the show’s debut run, but now he’s back with his face bandaged up, giving the character a very comic-accurate appearance.
Fans have understandably gone crazy for this exciting new take on one of the more underrated enemies in Batman’s rogues gallery. With Bruce having disappeared from Gotham years ago, Ruby Rose’s Kate Kane has mostly stuck to battling her own unique villains, so Hush’s arrival is a pretty big deal for the Arrowverse series – which has rarely featured major Batman foes before now.
One word says it all!

The pirated VHS copy of Conan the Barbarian that I cherished when I was 12 was cruddy and discoloured even before I wore it out with twice-daily viewings. The image, tinted jaundice-yellow in some places and seasickness-green in others, was striped with thorny lines of static that made you feel as though you were watching the movie through barbed wire. I knew it wasn’t supposed to look like that because I’d already seen it on the big screen a year earlier. One afternoon in September 1982, I had persuaded my father to take me after school to the ABC cinema in South Woodford, east London. I gave the movie the hard sell: it had Arnold Schwarzenegger,...

With Morbius being delayed to March 2021 due to the ongoing Coronavirus pandemic, a lot of people are now wondering how this will impact Venom 2. After all, the sequel is still set to be with us in October, but with the first Morbius trailer containing Easter Eggs and hints that Sony’s Marvel universe is set to seriously expand, there will no doubt be some connective tissue between the movies.
Unfortunately, we still don’t know very much about the symbiote’s second solo outing, aside from the fact that Eddie Brock will have to contend with his arch-nemesis, as Woody Harrelson and his new and improved haircut are set to terrorize Tom Hardy as Cletus Kasady and his maniacal alter-ego Carnage. And while there’s no word yet on when we may see the first bit of footage from the film, we now have something to tide us over in the meantime.

The actress says she has good work in the southern film industry, and would tread the path in Bollywood very cautiously. Shraddha has worked in Kannada and Tamil films, with projects like U Turn, Kaatru Veliyidai and The Villain to her credit.?
"The first step is to wait till Milan Talkies is out. Some calls have come but I can't take that too seriously. I want people to watch me perform, and see how I look on the big screen and then call me," Shraddha informed. "I am in no rush. There is enough work down south. I am going to take it easy. I am not someone who is star-struck about Bollywood and think 'ke abhi 'Milan...' release ho jaegi toh main yeh karungi Bollywood mein'.

SandalwoodThe director said that the film will be an action flick and the actor will play a common man, albeit in a never-before-seen avatar.Digital NativeKannada superstar Shiva Rajkumar has teamed up with several ace directors in his long career while veteran director Yogaraj Bhat has directed many stars in his illustrious career. However, the two stalwarts have not gotten an opportunity to work together till date. Now it looks like the long-time wish of movie buffs waiting for this to happen will finally come to an end in a few months. Yogaraj is in the process of preparing a script for Shiva Rajkumar and the project may start rolling later his year. On the project, the director told Times of India in an interview, “Shivanna has an exemplary body of work behind him and has been part of several iconic films. He has a larger-than-life image among Kannada film audiences, so coming up with suitable content to make a film with him is challenging. I had been working on something for a while and recently when I met him after the Tagaru 125-day celebrations he okayed the project.” Yogaraj went on to add, “One of the trademark elements of my films is the dialogues, which have a certain humour-laced flavour. When music director Harikrishna and I were guests on a TV programme hosted by Shivanna, he had said that he wanted a chance to mouth such lines. It is now working out. Our film will be an action flick, and will see the actor as a common man, albeit in a never-before-seen avatar. I have worked on the script to ensure that the portrayal of his character onscreen is novel. V Harikrishna has been roped in for the music and we are looking at Deepavali for the official launch. A title announcement may happen around Shivanna’s birthday in July.” Shiva Rajkumar is expecting the release of his multi starrer The Villain, in which he shares screen space with Sudeep.
