For the German release of the series, nine of the sixteen episodes were cut together and aired as two series specials. The host sequences with James Coburn were cut out and replaced by German host sequences with actor Carl-Heinz Schroth. The title of this TV special was 'Carl Heinz Schroth: Meine schwarze Stunde', and it was first released in November 1984.
