Nearly all DVD versions of the film are cut by ca. 3 minutes in various dialogs, most notably in a scene with enraged Velyurov. The uncut version is also available on DVD in Russia (a version without sound/picture restoration).
Soviet censors cut the part of the song about polka, where Velyurov is singing with Geargian accent. They thought it was a parody of Stalin.
