Sex & Nudity

  • In the beginning, it starts from the shower scene from the previous film, where the woman gets stabbed, repeatedly. No nudity shown.
  • A woman's naked silhouette is seen from behind a translucent shower curtain. The front of her breasts are briefly shown when she steps out of the shower, along with a very brief glimpse of dark pubic hair. As she is drying off, her buttocks are also briefly seen as well as the sides of her breasts. This is very easy to miss because it is not very long, and it is darkly lit.
  • We hear sounds of people having sex in a motel room. Nothing seen.
  • Two teenagers kiss in a basement while the boy puts his hand inside the girls blouse and touches her breast. They are interrupted by a noise.

Violence & Gore

  • The violence in Psycho II is more graphic than Psycho (1960). It is often shocking, and very gruesome.
  • The shower murder scene from the original "Psycho" is shown. Not graphic.
  • A man has his cheek slashed open by a knife and is then stabbed.
  • A teenage boy is repeatedly stabbed in the back. You see the knife penetrate his white t-shirt twice, with some blood.
  • A toilet is overflowing with blood and a bloody towel is pulled out with it, along with blood oozing from the drain of a bathtub.
  • In one scene a corpse is exhumed. The casket is opened and from a short distance we see the blacked, dessicated body inside. As the scene ends, there is a close-up of the corpse's rotted face.
  • A woman has a knife plunged into her mouth. The tip of the blade comes out the back of her head.
  • A man is stabbed in the chest with a large butcher knife. He falls over a bannister to his death. During his fall, the handle of the blade imbedded in his chest, contacts with another part of the bannister railing and goes even deeper into his chest.
  • A woman who believes she is being threatened stabs at a man repeatedly with a butcher knife. The knife wounds him several times in the hands and chest area. Blood is seen pouring out.
  • A woman is shot. Not graphic.
  • An old woman, has a large heavy shovel hit over the back of her head. The impact is so strong, that the chair she is sitting in breaks apart.

Profanity

  • Very infrequent use of strong language. The 'F' bomb is only dropped once and a few other milder terms scattered throughout.

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

  • A bottle of illegal drugs is seen.
  • A boy and a girl smoke marijuana in a basement.
  • A man is seen smoking several times.
  • A woman lights up once.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • Intense murder scenes, that are mostly graphic in depiction.
  • There are plenty of suspenseful moments throughout and some shock scares that can make you jump.
