A very funny romantic comedy that deserves a wider audience
cliffd20 May 1999
This film is notable for the debut performance of ABBA's Agnetha Fältskog in a major screenplay. This Swedish comedy, which was a critical and box office success, tells the true story of a wartime Swedish Casanova and his eventual come-uppance. Both farcical and very funny, the film deserves to be seen by an international audience. Even non-Swedish speakers will be amused by the obvious philandering by this lovable cad, played by Gunnar Hellström, and the increasingly impossible situations that arise.
