A handsome but impoverished Hungarian count (Bela ERNYEY) is crazy about beautiful women, lots of money and jewels. When he is about to marry a rich wallflower (Zsuzsa FARKES), he is caught in bed with the maid (Zsuzsa NYERTES). Then he meets a rich English woman (Britt EKLAND), but thats just the beginning of his problems...
Based on a novella by Hungarian writer Sandor HUNYADY, which could be translated as "The Golden Boy" (in German: Der Beau) and was probably published in 1933, this television film (co-produced by Bayerischer Rundfunk), broadcast in 1987, was unusually sensual and erotic for its time.
