The cast of Friends used collective bargaining to level out their salaries. As an ensemble cast, they wanted to be treated as equals as their wages grew from $22K per episode to $1M. Each cast member of Friends earned around $90 million in base salary alone from the show before the addition of any backend bonuses and ongoing royalties from syndication, racking each actor up an impressive net worth. For 10 seasons, the Friends cast was considered the gold standard of sitcom television, but where do they stand financially today? Here is the net worth of the Friends cast ranked from richest to poorest.

In a 2020 video interview with Vanity Fair, voice actor Billy West explained some of his creative decisions surrounding his multiple "Futurama" characters. For the blowhard Captain Zapp Brannigan, West imagined William Shatner, as if he -- the actor, not Captain Kirk -- were in charge of the Starship Enterprise. Zapp is a creature of pure ego and vanity, which is how West sees Shatner.
On "Futurama," however, Zapp Brannigan is more in line with a widespread popular interpretation of Captain Kirk. Kirk is often called a ladies' man and an incautious cowboy. Zapp wasn't a ladies' man, but he was a pathetic lothario who too often sexually propositioned Leela (Katey Sagal). He referred to his bedroom as "the love-nasium," and was obsessed with wearing velour clothing. Zapp also wasn't merely incautious, but blitheringly incompetent as the commander of the Doop starship Nimbus. "It's an emergency, sir!" an underling would yell.

Seasons three through six of Friends had some of Chandler Bing’s funniest and most character-defining moments. There he is handcuffed, without pants, to a filing cabinet; remaining in “time out” in a box for nearly a full episode; hooking up with—and later marrying—Monica…We all remember them fondly. The one who doesn’t? Matthew Perry, who says these seasons were a blur due to his problems with substance abuse.

Fresh off an Oscar triumph for Best Animated Feature, “Pinnochio” director Guillermo del Toro may have found his stars for his next big project.
The filmmaker behind “Crimson Peak,” “Pan’s Labyrinth” and “Pacific Rim” is prepping a new adaptation of Mary Shelley’s “Frankenstein” for Netflix. Andrew Garfield (“Tick Tick … Boom”), Oscar Isaac (“Ex Machina”) and Mia Goth (“Pearl”) are in early talks to join, according to multiple media reports.
While it’s unknown whether Isaac or Garfield would be playing, respectively, Dr. Frankenstein and his cursed creation, it is presumed that Goth would be playing Frankenstein’s love interest, who may or may not be Elizabeth Lavenza.

Origins is a recurring series giving artists a space to break down everything that went into their latest release. Today, Delta Spirit’s Matthew Logan Vasquez digs into his new solo single, “Untouchable.”
Matthew Logan Vasquez of Delta Spirit has released his new single, “Untouchable,” ahead of his upcoming solo album, As All Get Out.
As the primary songwriter for Delta Spirit, Vasquez has spent almost two decades perfecting his jagged indie rock sound. “Untouchable,” in particular, is inspired by a true story of vehicular manslaughter taking place in Texas.
“I wrote this song for Walker Lukens [and Zac Catanzaro]’s Kutx podcast Song Confessional,” Vasquez tells Consequence. “I was given a recording of an old woman from West Texas telling a story she remembered from growing up, about a wealthy son from a wealthy family getting away with vehicular manslaughter — not so dissimilar to the Murdaugh boating accident. After keeping mum last week on renewals, CBS is moving forward with an eye on Wednesday's upfront presentation to advertisers. CBS has renewed eight dramas, a comedy and a trio of reality favorites, plus two veteran newsmagazines that weren't going anywhere anyway. TV's most watched network picked up most of its bubble dramas, including a sixth season for "Hawaii Five-0" and "Blue Bloods," a seventh season of "NCIS: Los Angeles," a fifth season of "Person of Interest," a seventh season of "The Good Wife" and a fourth season of "Elementary." Only a couple of those shows were really on the bubble and then there were the CBS no-brainer renewals that are now official, including a 13th season of "NCIS" and an 11th season of "Criminal Minds." On the drama side, CBS also picked up a second season of "CSI: Cyber," which means that CBS will still have one "CSI" property on the schedule.

In the wall-to-wall coverage of Libyan dictator Muammar Gaddafi yesterday, which was dominated by gruesome images of his lifeless body that I felt the networks went overboard with, two moments stood out. The oddest was when Regis Philbin read live the news of Gaddafi’s death on Live With Regis And Kelly to cheers and applause from the audience so big that even the veteran host was taken aback. The most intriguing was Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s reaction to reading the news on her BlackBerry, accidentally caught on tape: you rarely see state officials in such unguarded moments. As for TV personas who stood out, Comedy Central’s Jon Stewart did his thing with an amusing look at Gaddafi with all his weirdness as well as the news coverage of his death. And then there was the unlikely hero of that news coverage yesterday, former Friends star Matthew Perry,...

Weird things happen everyday, but there’s nothing weirder–and creepier–than when someone or something correctly predicts someone’s death. Now that Libyan dictator Muammar Gaddafi was killed in Sirte Thursday, a portion of the 1987 sitcom “Second Chance,” starring Matthew Perry, might be taken more seriously. According to AOL TV, the show, set in 2011, features a character named Charles (Kiel Martin) who dies in a hovercraft accident (because everyone in 2011 drives hovercrafts) and is sent to be judged by St. Peter. St. Peter finds him to be neither bad enough for Hell nor good enough for Heaven, so Charles is then sent back to Earth to make sure his teenage...

The news that deposed Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi was captured and killed in his hometown of Sirte took the world by storm Thursday morning, but any devout fans of Matthew Perry's first sitcom could have known it was going to happen.
Of course, there are very few devotees of "Second Chance," these days, and seeing as it only ran during the 1987-1988 TV season, there weren't many fans of the show even back then. But still.
The features the story of Chazz Russell, a man who dies in 2011 but isn't quite fit for either heaven or hell. Before he reached the pearly gates in the pilot, however, Colonel Gaddafi showed up for judgment following his death. We repeat: he died in 2011. (And couldn't take a joke).
