Amanda, Gina, and Michelle were just unsuspecting young girls — it could happen to anyone. So to make sure a predator like Ariel Castro can’t strike again, Dr. Rebecca Bailey – Jaycee Dugard’s therapist — gives these crucial, life-saving tips on stranger interactions and avoiding potentially harmful characters.

Ariel Castro allegedly wrote a letter admitting that he was a ‘sexual predator,’ and then shockingly blamed the three tortured victims for their abductions because they got into his car!
Kidnapper Ariel Castro apparently had a moment of sanity in which he wrote a letter confessing to being a “sexual predator” who needed “help.” At one point he actually wanted to kill himself, he wrote in a letter obtained by 19 Action News reporter Scott Taylor. But what is most disturbing, is that in the letter allegedly obtained by police, he had the nerve to blame Amanda Berry, Gina DeJesus and Michelle Knight for getting into his car.
Ariel Castro’s Confession Letter
Ariel’s home, where he kept the three women locked in the basement, is currently being searched by police. 19 Action News reporter Scott Taylor received a copy of a letter from 2004 that was found, where Ariel made a series of crazy confessions.

How horrible. When Amanda’s baby was on the brink of death, Ariel threatened to kill Amanda if she couldn’t save the baby. Michelle jumped in to give the baby CPR, and miraculously saved both of their lives. Read on for the shocking details.
Michelle Knight, 32, told police that she saved the life of Amanda Berry‘s daughter by giving the baby CPR after she was born. The baby had trouble breathing, and the women’s alleged kidnapper, Ariel Castro, told Michelle she had to save the baby, or else he would kill Amanda.
Michelle Delivered Amanda’s Baby To Save Her Life
The baby was born six years ago in an inflatable pool inside the kidnapper’s house, with little or no medical supplies.
When the baby, named Jocelyn, had trouble breathing after birth, Michelle gave the baby CPR and “breathed for her” in order to save both of their lives.

Ariel was charged with three counts of rape and four counts of kidnapping in the case of the Ohio missing women, who were found in his basement after missing for more than ten years. What should his punishment be?

Since the three women escaped captivity on May 6, after ten years, they’ve been reuniting with family. Gina DeJesus arrived at her family’s home on May 8, wearing a yellow hooded sweatshirt. Men wearing T-shirts, with “guardian angel” printed on them, stood behind police tape in front of the home as a huge crowd cheered for Gina upon her arrival.
Gina DeJesus Arrives Home
Gina’s aunt, Sandra Ruiz, spoke to the crowd and said, “There are not enough words to say or express for the joy we feel for the return of our family member Gina. We are asking for your support to be patient with us.

After all the debates, controversies, and stereotype accusations have cleared, looking back on Blaxploitation cinema today it’s easy to see healthy portions of the crime and action genres. Using these genres and the struggles of the black community, these films were created for those that wanted to see African American characters on the big screen not taking shit from the man, “getting over”, and–above all else—being the heroes in movies. In the documentary Baad Asssss Cinema, Samuel L. Jackson gives his take on the heroes of Blaxploitation: “We were tired of seeing the righteous black man. And all of a sudden we had guys who were…us. Or guys who did the things we wanted those guys to do.”
The unsung supporting players in these films that backed Fred Williamson and Pam Grier and many other stars were people acting and making a living off of it.

Bones Photo Preview: Booth and Brennan Return Home With Their New Baby!
When Bones finally returns from its hiatus on April 2 (since it is now moving to Monday nights), you're in for a treat of an episode.
"The Prisoner in the Pipes" features the team investigating human remains found in some sewage pipes. They eventually realize that the remains belong to a former prisoner at a nearby prison. Booth and Brennan are approaching Brennan's due date and they're arguing about whether Brennan should give birth: at home or in a hospital.
Booth, of course, is also worried about Brennan working the case because of the prison connection, but she adamantly exclaims that prisoners would never harm a pregnant woman. In fact, Brennan has to dive into a prison riot in order to gather some much-needed evidence and watching the prisoners honor their mantra never to harm a pregnant woman because...

Never-before-seen stealth helicopters were exposed in Sunday's raid on Osama bin Laden, shedding light on a secret program experts weren't even sure existed. Plus, shocking new photos from the operation and more updates.
Plus, full coverage of Osama bin Laden.
Obama's Secret Weapon
In case you were too focused on the blood to notice, aviation experts said Wednesday that the helicopters shown in photographs of the raid that killed Osama bin Laden have never been seen before. They have top-secret stealth modifiers that allowed the Navy SEALs to silently sneak up on the suburban compound where bin Laden had been living. In addition to the noise-reducing modifications, the helicopters had a different look than other military helicopters-sharper angles and flat surfaces more common to stealth jets. A senior Pentagon official said the Defense Department would "absolutely not" comment on the helicopters shown in the photos. The military has been working...

Unlike Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet, this version has a happy ending. "We are happy to announce that both children are home safe," the parents of Jackson Powell, 18, and Nicole Dones, 17, said in a joint statement Monday, after the runaway teen couple returned to their Miami-area homes after two weeks on the run. Details of their escapade have yet to be released, although Miami-Dade police say it appears Nicole had willingly fled with her boyfriend. [1] I know genre-switched trailers have sort of been done to death, but every once in a while a good one comes along that makes me laugh. Today, it's a trailer for Ferris Bueller's Day Off -- done up to look like an indie film. Watch it after the jump. [via Buzzfeed [2]] Who knew Ferris Bueller's Day Off and Garden State had so much in common? Against a backdrop of tinkling indie rock ("A Slight Return Home" by Wood Pigeon, before you ask), Ferris Bueller really does look like every other indie coming-of-age movie you've ever seen. Ferris himself comes off less like an outgoing, charming slacker and more like a proper indie film protagonist -- sweet but shy and aimless -- while Cameron appears to suffer from either a mental or psychological disorder. As for my personal favorite indie-film moment from this trailer, it's a toss-up between the meaningful shot of the...

In a new re-cut trailer of John Hughes' love letter to Chicago, Ferris Bueller's Day Off, the beloved flick is re-cast as an edgy, angsty indie in the mold of a Sofia Coppola joint. The running through the woods and the drawing out of the slow-motion trampoline jump/fall immediately signal that serious business is afoot. This movie could probably be called Saving Cameron. Ferris Bueller's Day Off had its serious moments, but for the most part was a light-hearted comedy with Matthew Broderick's mischievous Ferris and his cat-that-ate-the-canary grin at its fun-loving center. Here, "A Slight Return Home," by Canadian indie band Woodpigeon, helps create an ominous mood, relieved only slightly by the muted Twist-and-Shout parade scene. Fortunately, the Charlie Sheen-Jennifer Grey police-station scene is omitted, because seeing the younger, pre-insanity-and-plastic-surgery incarnations of the two stars would probably just snap viewers out of [...]...

If there was any person who we'd follow from The White House in "The West Wing" to being on the lam in an ice cream truck, it's Josh Malina.
Malina wrote and stars in "Backwash," which premieres Monday (Nov. 15) on Crackle.com, Sony Pictures Entertainment's online video network.
The 13 episode comedy series follows Jonesy (played by Michael Panes), Val (Malina) and their buddy, Fleming (Michael Ian Black) as they're on the run after Jonesy unintentionally robs a bank of $100,000. Their getaway car? Fleming's ice cream truck.
Malina may be playing at keeping secrets in "Backwash," but he agreed to give up some personal deets for Zap2it's Celeb Slam Book.
Find out why he'd trade places with Mel Gibson plus 18 other guilty confessions:
1.) Tell us one thing we don't know about you. Musical theatre overtures make me tear up.
2.) If you could change one thing about your face what would it be and why?...

What are film genres but mere indications of a film's content. They might tell you what a film is about but they won't say anything about style, atmosphere or execution. The Clone Return Home is classified as sci-fi and that's okay, but those expecting a bustling space adventure, alien warfare or high-tech gadgetry can stop reading right now. Nakajima is aiming for something very different. And better.
The film industry would have you believe that films are best seen on the big screen, in theatres and festivals. While this is definitely true for a certain line of movies there is no place like home to watch The Clone Returns Home. Far away from potential shuffling, babbling, ring tones, crunching, yawning or people with busy festival schedules. This films deserves to be seen as far away as possible from all those distractions. It's much better to enjoy its subtleties in a...

Bernie Casey strides purposefully through Hit Man, his flamboyant hat tilted at a rakish angle over a graying Afro, his ex-professional-football player frame squeezed into a series of tight trousers. If he emerges as Hit Man’s hero, it’s only because his brutally efficient enforcer qualifies as marginally less evil than the human parasites around him. Miami Blues and Grosse Pointe Blank director George Armitage directed this 1972 blaxploitation adaptation of Jack’s Return Home, the Ted Lewis novel that previously inspired the seminal British gangster film Get Carter. "The Insider" is on the ground at the Burbank airport, where former U.S. President Bill Clinton has brought home U.S. journalists Laura Ling and Euna Lee after successfully negotiating their release from North Korea. Their plane has just touched down on the runway, and they are expected to speak at a news conference in moments. In a statement, Clinton says: "I am very happy that after this long ordeal, Laura Ling and Euna Lee are now home and reunited with their loved ones. "When their families, Vice President Gore and the White House asked that I undertake this humanitarian mission, I agreed. I share a deep sense of relief with Laura and Euna and their families that they are safely home." Euna Lee and Laura Ling were issued a "special pardon" from North Korea after they were convicted and imprisoned by the North Korean government for allegedly entering the country illegally last March.

The roving Jolie-Pitts popped up in New Orleans over the weekend with a wave and a smile. Angelina looked gorgeous out toy shopping with Maddox while Brad took his bike for a spin around town. Perhaps mom brought her oldest with her into the world of sales for b-day presents for Pax, who turned 5 on Saturday. Last year at this time the family was also in New Orleans working on Brad's housing project and he recently said that is where they find "a sense of normalcy, if there's such a thing."
