Psychomanteum. Tick tock, tick tock.
“Tick tock… Tick tock”
Why are you speaking like that?
Because it’s uttered continuously throughout the monologue.
Oh, that’s annoying.
Yes, it does go on a bit but the narrator acknowledges that near the end of the film so that makes it okay. Tick tock, tick tock…
Stop it.
Sorry, I couldn’t resist.

What can we expect from your short film I See You?
Something that is definitely overused by writer/directors, but also something different. I feel a lot of horror films can often lack is an actual storyline and a storyline that can fit into the real world and despite the film only being a short, I still wanted to try and get a real feeling narrative across. I always write my shorts with the thought of, how could this story be developed into a feature, which allowed me to embed enough of a narrative into the short so that it isn’t just ten minutes of scares with no real meaning to them. The short, I hope, delivers some creative scares whilst also providing a plot twisting narrative to provide a new take on the clown horror.
What were your inspirations for writing the film?

Don't Be Afraid of the Dark is a made-for-tv movie from the early seventies, and is notable for being one of the only two terrifying TV movies ever made. The script is written by Matthew Robbins who has a fairly odd and eclectic resume under his belt... Steven Spielberg's The Sugarland Express, Dragonslayer, *batteries not included, and Del Toro's own Mimic to name a few. The film is scheduled to shoot this summer for release sometime in 2010. The original starred Kim Darby and Jim Hutton as a young couple who move into a...
