Sex & Nudity
-
- There is very mild innuendo, but nothing too major.
- There are some women and dogs in very suggestive clothings in a Casino.
- Rover Dangerfield sings a song about urinating under a Christmas tree. Only very mild words like "wetting" and "doing it" are used.
Violence & Gore
-
- There is some animated violence, but it is very tame in comparison to such animated films like "Watership Down." (See Frightening/Intense Scenes for the details.)
- Rover props up and manipulates the body of a dead turkey that has had its neck broken and partially severed. Although the scene is played comically, it is very cartoony for a kids' film, especially one that is rated "G".
- A man takes a dog out with the intent to shoot it (he does not)
- A man is attacked by wolves; we see the wolf charge at the man and grab the barrel of his rifle. Startled, the man fires a shot into the air and the scene cuts away.
- A dog fends off three wolves; we see a large log roll towards a wolf and corner him at a tree, and it is implied the wolf is crushed between the log and the trunk of the tree. The scene is played comically.
- A man kicks and strikes a dog in several scenes.
- A man grabs a woman by the wrist and jerks her forward, he is then attacked by the woman's dog.
Profanity
-
- While nothing in this movie exceeds family-friendliness, this movie has its moments. This would be PG today. Lots of rude humor, and this movie and it's a WB movie, so expect some cutting edge rude humor, although the animation is not "Looney Tunes."
- One use of "For God's sake!"
- No swearing, only very mild rude words are used. (As said above.)
Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking
-
- Despite its G rating, the word "alcoholic" is used.
- Nothing major, as it is a children's film.
- A few gang members are seen smoking.
Frightening & Intense Scenes
-
- A very evil man throws Rover Dangerfield in a lake.
- The wolves will probably traumatise very young children.
Spoilers
Frightening & Intense Scenes
- A chicken/turkey is killed by a pack of very evil wolves.
- The scene near the end where Rover Dangerfield is nearly shot by the farmer will be very intense for children.
