Alternative comedy to Turhapuros from late 70s
kinosaurus13 April 2003
Nice little alternative comedy from time when Pertti "Spede" Pasanen was dominating the finnish movie comedy with the Turhapuro series.

This was the third and so far the last try of director Seppo Huunonen. He had directed before that movies "Lampaansyöjät" which was quite popular and "Karvat" which could be considered as a flop. The film reflects the time when it was made with the references for example to the Salora scandal. The other themes in the movie are more universal. The key plot in the movie is that the male heroes of the movie have to be without alcohol, and no selfish encounters to opposite sex is not allowed for few weeks. That time they have to spend their time in "Piilopirtti" hidden cottage in english. There are never too many finnish movies with summer scenes in full colour which helps to put up with the gloom of winter. And if the characters and the plot in the movie are okay, so why not to give movie a try.
