Sex & Nudity

  • Minimal. Space Ghost appears nude (from behind) to explain to his co-workers "the birds and the bees" and sex is explicitly debated at the end of the episode, "Eat a Peach".

Violence & Gore

  • There is violence, such as characters getting beaten up, but no gore.

Profanity

  • Seasons one to six featured some very mild curses such as "crap" or "stupid", but no real profanities.
  • Seasons seven to eight is when they moved to adult swim, an adult channel, and they used such profanities as, "damn" "hell" "ass", etc. Though they rarely said anything to warrant a bleep, but it was occasionally used. The DVD's remain censored.

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

  • Moltar and Zorak do drugs and alcohol in the episode "Idlewild South" and convince Space Ghost to get drunk. This is the entire theme of the episode.
  • Space Ghost smokes a cigarette in jail in the series finale, "Live at the Fillmore".

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • Seasons 1 to 3 are generally considered the "talk show years" where Space Ghost mostly just interviewed his guests. However, in "Batmantis", Moltar was kidnapped and Zorak tries to rescue him. Later, when Moltar escapes the set, Space Ghost intimidates Tansit to tell him where he is.
  • Seasons 4 to 6 were given more free reign, where they could have stories, with the guests being witnesses to the action. Some intense episodes these seasons were, "Curses" where Space Ghost becomes a cannibal, "Girl Hair" where Space Ghost accidentally kills guests, Hanson and the tooth fairy, and an evil Santa Claus appears. "Snatch" where pods try to kill the gang if they fall asleep, and actually succeed, but off-screen.
  • Seasons 7 to 8 feature more adult situations, and some very small usage of blood are used.
