honest and refreshing, this documentary follows a small group of students as they settle at Stanford University during their first year. There are joyful moments, as there are sad moments. Some of the scenes follow the students to their parents home during weekends. The students apparently agreed for the cameramen to follow them, and the result is a marvelous collage of youth life in America of the nineties. Most of the same students are also part of a documentary called "Seniors" by the same filmmaker, but Frosh is much better (in my opinion).
