When leaving for California, Vada is seen walking toward an airplane with a blue stripe. When the airplane is in the air, it has a red stripe.
During the home video of Maggie, she playfully puts her hand up to the camera to push the lens away. When she does so, the woman on the payphone behind her magically disappears.

However, the film takes place in 1974, two years before Charlie's Angels premiered. In addition, Fawcett, although working as an actress, was a mostly an unknown at the time.

When Vada's plane leaves for California you see her flying over a coast, with the land on the right side of the plane. There are no major bodies of water between Pennsylvania and Southern California. Lake Erie is the closest major body of water that the plane would fly near, however, since Lake Erie is north of Pennsylvania the coast would be to the right of the plane as it flew west.
In the first film, Harry mentions that the last date he went on was twenty years ago. In this film, it is revealed to be about fourteen or fifteen years ago due to him meeting Maggie, proposing on the second date and nine months later Vada was born, and Vada is now about thirteen years old.
